Ok here is a home page screenshot http://awesomescreenshot.com/0684jy3w61.
I’ve higlighted 3 sections: Main (upper photos), News (body) and Other Stories (sidebar).
The Main and the Other stories section have less articles shown, compared to the news. This is intended since the Main will obtain the main focus when opening the site, the Other stories instead will remain on the screen during the scrolling of the news articles (approx 20 before pagination).
This works well in the desktop version.
In the mobile, the user to obtain access to the Other-stories articles has to scroll down the Main + all the 20 news before having a look to the others. That’s why I think that a possible solution is to reduce to 5 the number of news before the pagination, so that even the mobile user can have a fast overview of the main page… how can this be achieved?
Hi,
Other than the mobile emulator do you have this issue as I’ve checked your site on several mobile devices on IOS and Android and did noticed noting like you’ve described.
If this isn’t happening every time then it could be due to your host as its response time.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately theme doesn’t have an option to use a different sidebar on mobile view, but you can try to hide some blocks from the main content(if you refer to this) for mobile view so the sidebar will appear slightly above.
I don’t understand exactly what you mean with “to show 5-6 articles..” …. on sidebar or main content?
Please provide a link and screenshot to see what you want to hide on mobile screen.
Thanks!
Hi,
I have checked your site, but I couldn’t find Facebook comments on posts(only share plugin). Anyway we did not tested the plugin with our theme so I don’t know exactly how it works. If the plugin have width in percentages like 100% it should be resized and visible on mobile.
Thanks!
Hi,
I have checked your site, please add you ad code directly in Theme Panel > Ads > Header Ad: http://screencast.com/t/hvgal6UK You don’t have to use anything else because google ads are responsive and resize automatically when you refresh. Add the code like I said and see if it hides on mobiles if you enable that option.
Thanks!
My home page has 2 sections that reside on the right bar. These 2 sections are important like the main News sections. In the desktop version this works well: the user can scroll the news having the right bar always shown. In the mobile instead the right bar is shown after the last article of the news section.
The best here would be to have shown, for the mobile version only, 5-6 news articles only so to let the user eye jump to the other section.
Can this be done in some way?
Regards
Fabio
Hi,
Unfortunately you cannot add mobile menu on tablets screen, so the only way is to use css code for main menu or to use short names for menu items.
The css code from above helps you to have menu items on single line from screens width 768px to 1018px like in this screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/stbr6Y54tt3h
Thanks!

Buongiorno, ho acquistato il tema per il mio sito http://www.cronachedipuglia.it
Ho però un problema nella visualizzazione del tema da mobile.
In pratica, la sezione Facebook comments, sotto i post non è visualizzabile da mobile.
Come posso risolvere??
Hi,
Unfortunately the mega menu doesn’t work on mobile screen like you can see also on our demo, it works on tablets and desktop: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/
Thanks!
Hi
Just take a look on a below screenshot.
http://oi60.tinypic.com/cu8hx.jpg
In some specific mobile resolutions, the navigation is wrapped down even i adjust the font size via CSS. How can i disable such navigation menu in such conditions?
Not sure why the mega menu doesnt work on the mobile version of the theme. http://www.fastpitchelite.com/blog It works ok on the desktop version but not the mobile. Does anyone have any suggestions
Thanks in advance
Actually, the toggle is fine for SEO purposes as Bootstrap uses this, as do many WordPress sites including WP VIP sites; so not a huge hairy deal since they fall under a “menu” class. We’ve had no SEO problems with that on our sites.
Just an opinion.
Arguably adding “rel=nofollow” to the mobile menu might be good solution if that was your concern.
BTW: if you use Google’s “fetch as Google” you will see “what the spider sees” — where they look at the rendered page, and are not stressing about informal code not rendered on page.
Hi,
Sorry for the delay!
Do you actually have the same issue on a mobile device?
Please also check this without other plugins active, this without the speed booster plugin which can cause this as it moves css style sheets and/or js files to the bottom of the page.
Please also let me know what theme version you use.
Thanks
Hi Guys,
I think it could be interesting by default to implement this kind of stuff which will be or not active through a checkbox in the panel:
https://github.com/okamototk/jqm-mobile-bookmark-bubble
Basicaly it checks which kind of device you are on and place the popup accordingly with the right icon in order to emphasize the fact for the mobile user he can bookmark the website on the home screen of his device
Hi,
Yes you can add background only if you use a page template with background, but when you use also site background it will appear that issue on mobile(Big Slide images don’t resize) and Big Slide background will be catted: http://screencast.com/t/iGxwgJqNDdA – http://screencast.com/t/KxuL3Rv1a
Like I said above we know about this issue and it will be fixed in Newspaper 5 version. Till then please use only background for site or Homepage BG template. Sorry for inconvenience!
Thanks!
Hello, theme has been much better than expected, actually going to post about that in another subject.
Right now 95% of my traffic comes from Facebook, 70% of that is mobile. I have some people commenting with the basic wordpress comment section but really I NEED to use the facebook comment plugin so it will import the dozens of comments that are on the post on facebook and allow people to post when on the article page since they were logged into facebook already when they come to my site.
The problem I am having is best described in this picture – http://oi57.tinypic.com/2dbw6mr.jpg
It inserts itself above the sharing icons, similar articles and latest articles.
Any help would be appreciated!
Dear Lucian,
I also would like to change the default icon on mobile. Is the CSS code above can also be applied in Newsmag theme? Thanks
Hi,
I’ve some trouble with my header ad, it’s not at the right place and doesn’t use all the space.
When I disable the ad for mobile, it doesn’t display anymore on any device.
It seems to load the mobile sized ad on every device.
(I use style 1)

(I framed in red the ad)
Could you help me ?
Today i did simulate my website http://www.wpdiv.com with http://www.mobilephoneemulator.com/
Sometimes there is no issues but very frequently CSS not loading properly and menu got broken as illustrated in below screenshot.
http://oi60.tinypic.com/m096c.jpg
How can i resolve the same?
Expecting your kind co-operation
With regards
Selvam.S
Note : When you testing website via http://www.mobilephoneemulator.com/ don’t forget to navigate the website with simulator itself to regenerate the issue.
Hello,
This did not work for me and I still have this issue. There must be another piece of code somewhere overwriting td_social_counter_010.php
As Lucian and others have suggested, I changed the code to ‘url’ => “http://www.youtube.com/channel/my_own_channel_code_here”, and the Social Counter is still sending me to “http://www.youtube.com/user/<channel code here” with the error “This channel does not exist”
It is a very stubborn issue. I have cleared by browser cache, used different browsers, my mobile, etc.
Please help! How can I get the social counter to work for YouTube?
(btw…I don’t think youtube assigns youtube.com/user accounts anymore, all are “channels” these days).
Hi,
1. You can use featured video section and add your video url and also use post template 8: http://screencast.com/t/vZtTvuQEc
Result: http://screencast.com/t/pHBbB8CTvf0
2. It is not compatible, but it will be from the next version(unless something unusual happens)
3. Yes the full width is what you see in our demo 1021px: http://screencast.com/t/bM59WocOIx
4. Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an option to show a different sidebar on mobile view.
Thank you!
Hi,
It should be added after the closing php tag “?>“.
Please try to add it and test your site on various mobile devices. I believe that the mobile screen should be detected and only then the ad should be loaded.
Please let me know how it goes and make sure you have the adsense code added and also provide your site’s url so I can check this.
Thanks

Hi,
Header style 3 use the same logo also on mobile view. So you don’t have to use logo for mobile, on mobiles it should display the logo like this:
Settings: http://screencast.com/t/nN71pRYZB
Result: http://screencast.com/t/QpmPHgnB
Thanks!

Hi,
We know about this issue when is used page template Home BG with site background the images from Big Slide are not resized. I have checked your site and I see that you don’t use a background for Big Slider, so please change the page template to Homepage + Articles List and add Big Slider manually to the page using Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/Phgvb2VL – http://screencast.com/t/uUa2mpAmLUm
Result: http://screencast.com/t/HsAn6hYGr
If you still want to hide Big Slider on mobile screen(landscape) just increase the @media’s max-width to the landscape width of your iphone: http://stephen.io/mediaqueries/#iPhone
Hope this helps!
Yes, it is a solution.
What you have to do is to specify special ads for the desktop, special for the tablets also special for mobile means the size should be special for each one.
So you have to use the size of ads for desktop 728×90, for tablets 468×60 and for the mobile size 320×60.
Here you have the code:
<div class=”td-visible-desktop”>

</div>
<div class=”td-visible-tablet-l”>

</div>
<div class=”td-visible-tablet-tp”>

</div>
<div class=”td-visible-phone”>

</div>
If you want to use flash ads swf ads you can only you upload the ad in your server than call where you want just check the proper size.
