ok its working now.
i removed all the plugins but the essentials and its working currently with blazing page speed. Now adding them one by one back to see what was conflicting… and i noticed once i added W3 cache that it actually slowed down. is that normal? to be fair as i added gzip plugin it even slowed down more. 🙁
would this be the time to optimize with WP-Optimize? it crashed our database last time and im really shy about using it now.
according to google pagespeed insights, its suggesting we Leverage browser caching
– but according to documentation on theme, u suggested only doing page cache. should i active the browser cache option in W3?
Okay. let me try that. thanks Lucian and Christopher.
do you also suggest wp-optimize plugin as in your other article for page load speed, once this issue is corrected? i tried following your suggestion, but it crashed the database. just got it back up/repaired last night. its possible as Lucian says was caused by the other plugins conflicting. but they all serve a purpose but will see what i can do without. i really want the site to be exciting with additional buddypress features to keep visitors active.
i will update this ticket after removing all the plugins.
thanks again for the quick reply
Hi,
As Christopher said, you have some errors in your console http://screencast.com/t/hIsuEkRuJQ you should try to get rid of those errors first.
Try to deactivate all plugins except those that theme requires and check the issue, see if it’s still present.
If this doesn’t solve the issue you can send us your wp-admin username and password so we can take a look, send via e-mail at contact@tagdiv.com if you will, please include a link to this topic.
Thanks
Hi,
I have tested your site and seems that you have some errors in the console which prevent the images to modify http://screencast.com/t/XZQpm9InFAuT
Try deactivating plugins and check to see if this issue is till present.
The topic is marked with a red “X” when is’s only one post inside that topic, and nobody answered to it.
Thanks

You have a lot of elements not loading properly, or only partially loading, when I just looked at your site. Likely a number of CSS, java, etc. is not loading at all due to the site being terribly slow right now, and timing out left and right. Header is a mess in IE7/Win64 on a 75mb FIOS connection, reloading page doesn’t make it better, left sticky social disappears then comes back, some social icons floating off right side in circles, etc. Likely first step is getting pages to fully load at all.

Why did this post get a red (x)?
Hi,
I think there may be a bug in mobile image size. I think they should be styled to fit the viewport (100%). However they appear in full size and the right part is cut away (overflow hidden). How can I make the images responsive and width=100%?
Example: http://www.dailycat.de/19-gruende-warum-man-katzen-lieben-muss-758/
Thx I really appreciate your help!
also
i noticed in documentation this statement:
make sure that you have APC installed or another ‘op cache’ for php. This will reduce your server response time.We have receive some reports that the accelerator has some problems in some specific configurations with our theme and Nginx.
does it mean we should not use Nginx?
– also, i meant that the SWIPE MENU ON MOBILES or the standard menu on responsive (mobile) is not working.
thanks
i read another support ticket that said the solution was to use W3 Total Cache. which we used to use. but because of the site being very sluggish and crashing at times, with W3 showing no noticeable increase in speed at all, we decided to use wordfence plug in. which might i add is very good for detecting the main problem for site slow speed. which is not the theme itself, but DDOS attacks.
we were able to block china where attacks were coming from and speed picked up 100x faster than before. then i decided to use their cache engine, which even made it faster.
however now based on your response to the responsive menu issues, we have removed the caching by wordfence and activated W3 Total Cache. but still there is a problem if the responsive menu showing. please see http://www.naija.fm
also sliding menu not working. just provides link – http://www.naija.fm/#
really need the help please. we are losing tons of traffic due to users only limited to few pages.

im having the same proplem and W3 Total Cache isnt doing the job so we had to use wordfence which seems to really help with ddos attacks. we have been hit really hard lately. – http://www.naija.fm/
which has effected the page speed to the point of not being able to connect to database.
wordfence: http://www.wordfence.com/ also has its own cache system that seems to really help.
so is there a way to make to make the responsive menu work with this plugin http://www.wordfence.com/
It worked perfectly thank you very much!
Hi,
You can add this code in Theme Panel > Custom CSS:
.span4 .iosSlider-col-1 .slider .td-sbig-title-wrap .td-sbig-title {
font-size: 15px !important;
line-height: 3px !important;
}
I’m not sure it will work for you, I need an URL to see the exact issue.
Thanks
Hello I tried the coding you provided, The problem I am having is that I want to change the font size of just the (TagDiv) Slide in the sidebar and the code you provided changes the main top sliders size which I want to keep at the original font size. Is there any css code that can just effect the sidebar widget slide?
P.S.: Great theme I enjoy everything about it, including the fantastic support!

Hi,
Use this CSS in Theme Panel > Custom CSS:
.td-tags li{
display: inline;
float: none !important;
}
.td-tags {
text-align: center;
}
.post-source-via {
text-align: center;
}
Result: http://screencast.com/t/6rlasrObv

hi,
can you past your configuration for w3? i installed td_sppedbost + w3total but google speed give me 54/100 for mobile and 83/100 for desktop.
all problems are css/js above the fold.
so.. i don’t know which is the best way to set w3 totale cache.
please esport your settings and give me the file.
i’m on dedicated server.
Hi
I moved Tags from the sharing box and it seems like it isn’t centred. here is an example: http://screencast.com/t/BLB0pLhkMJT
I want to align it and make it looks like the Source section.
Please help.
Thanks!
Hi,
Thanks for letting us know, we already know about this issue and we will try to fix it in future updates.
If you eventually decide to use it like that you can do it by adding this custom CSS in Theme Panel > Custom CSS:
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.single .span4.column_container {
display: none !important;
}
}
This will set the sidebar not to be displayed on mobile via CSS.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the message
Make sure the server is running deflate/gzip properly, and you have the proper expires headers set, and server side normal caching if so provided, …. compression and expires headers are good for at least 20 points.
Just for a reference point, one of my pages on the test site, with caching plugin turned off, and the disqus, adsense stuff running (3 ad spots), Gravatar, and one YouTube video.
http://ga-ga.com/1763/book-review-anti-americans-star-sons-wichita/
is 90 desktop / 79 mobile
I need to swap out Gravatar for local author image and should shave off 708bytes from the featured image upload (has “red” in it, so didn’t compress as much).
With the gravatar fixed, and if I ignore the “errors” from Disqus and AdSense, it’s totally in a doable range for us.
I think it works out to be 93/83 without the “errors” on there.
Not bad since NOT running any caching plugin, not using CDN, and not using a minification plugin other than mod_pagespeed optimizing the pages on the fly.

Hi,
I noticed two issues. If I pick the default template for posts as left sidebar the site breaks on mobile devices and instead of loading the article first and sidebar later, it loads the sidebar first and then story which just makes no sense. I don’t think it’s important for me as I wanted to just try out left sidebar but it’s totally breaking the site so you may want to consider.
Thanks.
oh sorry, i misunderstood your previous post. i thought it was replace one with the other.
It works great now, Thx !
Hi,
Should work http://screencast.com/t/BekBMiwAD
Please make sure you add and have both custom CSS I gave you in Theme Panel > Custom CSS. I will add them again here:
@media (max-width: 767px){
.header-logo-wrap img {
display: block !important;
}
.header-logo-wrap {
display: block !important;
}
}
Thanks
