I’m using the newspaper theme on a large website, more than 1 million pageviews per month and recently a company wanted to promote a series on our website with a site skin, the only problem is that the only option that newspaper as is “background click ad”, basically two large ads in the side of the website.

The result was this below

What the company wanted is something like the photoshoped version bellow

The problem with “background click ad” is that it does not shows in smartphones, only in desktop. I have seen in other themes a better application of the site skin, in which the ad sides are not shown but the top is.
So, basically, I’ve negotiated a worse contract because I didn’t find a way to show the ad to mobile users, which are 60% of my users.

How in mobile it should look:

So what I’m asking is how could I do this with Newspaper and asking you to implement more options to “background click ad”

I tried other ads plugins, but if i add their shortcode to category.php then de default category template is shown…

Can i use custom ad blocks from theme options http://prntscr.com/sjlf8c to do this?

(rodhi) before using newspaper them. i had used free theme that time my site speed 90+ in google. i am so sad now my site speed under 80 i also used amp but i don’t understand why my site speed down. i am using cloud hosting i have a another site (sadshayariimage) there is free theme no amp install but site speed 90+ in google. plz help me

We are managing to create a new site with newspaper X and we have one space on pages that needs adverts from adsense and other places where we want to put our own adverts (2 or 3 rotating).

Any suggestion about plugin or component to manage those 2-3 rotating ads with minimum of information (views, clicks etc)

Hello,

I am currently customising a WordPress site and am making a footer template to use throughout the whole site. Building the footer in the tagDiv composer works normally. However, upon saving and viewing, the footer is shown doubled, with two identical footers on top of each other.

When I then exit the composer and re-enter, an error message appears which makes further editing impossible. The error message reads ‘Error at rows: 2(models): 1(dom). The model does not match the content. Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL + SHIFT + Z)’

Hi, We’re using the plugin Another WordPress Classifieds Plugin on our site.

It uses the default template when posting a new ad. This template is generally fine, with the exception on one thing – it draws on the metadata of including the author, which is not appropriate to classified ads, but is obviously necessary for all our articles.

AWPCP uses Custom Post Types, so it’s not a simple case of assigning a template per post.

I’m hoping to either assign a specific template to that plugin, or, simply change one aspect of it – getting rid of that author metadata.

I’m starting a new Newspaper site and it has some javascript code ads for books. See part ‘De beste reisgidsen’ scrolling a bit down the page.https://www.reisverhalen.info/ontdek/canarische-eilanden/op-stedentrip-naar-tenerife-van-wereldgebouwen-hip-eten-en-zoutwaterbaden/
The images that are part of the ad are not shown and I don’t understand why. In my other Newspaper website there is no problem with this. I haven’t activated any plugins for caching or optimizing.
Can you help me find out why this is happening?

Currently, I have Issues with the CSS of my image gallery thumbnails.
The first page the thumbnails load correct but if I click page 2 the thumbnails are only shown (non-white overlay) on a mouse hover.
Question:
– Is this a conflicted CSS thing?
How can I overcome this with a custom CSS rule?
– Or is this a lazy load setting?

I just find that when I enable translation other than english all pages loading very slow

Does the theme support Media.net ads ? I tried adding the div block for other ads, still no luck. It breaks my page load. The mobile smart menu is broken.

for AdSense, in theme options: is there the possibility to have different AdSense based on language?
We use WPML, I tryed to change the language (in admin) but the AD option is the same.
So, if I have a AdSense for language 1, and another AdSense for language 2, how can I show, in front-end, the right AdSense of the current language selected?

How can there be “Two Columns” on a page with mobile device? The default is all the columns stack on top of each other.
I need to have two columns on a few select pages, not the whole site.

How can this be accomplished?

Also: How can a dropdown menu be created in one of the columns on mobile? NOTE: this is not part of the main navigation in header or footer. This just needs to be in an element within a page.
