Unfortunately, please note that the JetPack is a problematic plugin and also, we do not recommend using it because in some cases, it might break the site layout. I recommend you to disable it and regenerate all of your images using the Thumbnails Regenerate plugin or Force Regenerate. Clear all the caches to purge CDN files and check the results.

Quick question — For some reason, the thumbnails on Module 16 have stopped showing. I have installed and run the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin.
I looked in the Thumbnails on Modules and Blocks page, and couldn’t find a switch for Module 16. So, I turned on the 356×364 for MX16 just to be safe.
Since the thumbnails aren’t working for Module 16, I switched the blog page to Module 10, and that one is working with thumbnails showing.
So, this isn’t urgent. But, I just am wondering what could be causing the problem.

I was able to bring content over including images to my fresh install of newpaper theme, but for some reason the thumbnails do not show, I used the Thumbnail Regenerate plugin which still did not fix the issue. Any idea what can be done?

You will have to regenerate your thumbnails. Regenerate Thumbnails allows you to regenerate all thumbnail sizes for one or more images that have been uploaded to your Media Library.
You could simply do this by using a plugin. After you’ve regenerated them de-activate the plugin so you won’t face any issues.

So flex blocks are not an option? They have settings for the images, you could load a bigger thumbnail and use the width/height and position settings

Modifying the cropping method would require that you edit the tagDiv composer files (after update 9.7)

Then the future thumbnails will use the new cropping. The existing thumbnails will have to be regenerated, you can use the plugin mentioned here for example

But I should note that modifications to the plugins will be lost after the theme and plugins are updated.

Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

I have inspected your home page and I saw that your loaded image does not have the proper size or also, was not loaded a correct size of it, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/U1eTpHPv Please ensure that you have set up the right image size from Media Library from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/8Vs3ZVe3N7 In your website, it seems that your loaded image has a small size which the theme will stretch and that’s why you bring blurry results. For image regeneration, notice that we are using the Force Regenerate plugin or Thumbnails Regenerate. If you have any problems, please provide more details and some useful screenshots with the issue so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

I installed the Nature Love demo, and modified the first image.
But:
1) The image does not fit the size of the structure, although I tried with very large images (4000px wide), I tried to change the proportions of the sides (example: 1366x768px). No way.
2) At a check with the Google Lighthouse tool all the images, even those normally present on the subject, have the problem Properly Size Image: Serve images that are appropriately-sized to save cellular data and improve load time. Is there a compatible tool that makes an image resize? Regenerate Thumbnails plugin didn’t solve the problem.

It says “it may result in broken images”, I personally haven’t seen cases where this happened however, or seen negative feedback after recommending it. However you could just to be safe make a backup of the uploads folder, and only then regenerate. If you find other methods or other plugins you can give those a try instead. We don’t have specific guides in this matter.
If you have 11 sizes activated in the theme panel, then the theme will create 11 thumbnails. WordPress will create an additional 3 sizes – http://prntscr.com/nlyiz3 Plugins can create thumbnails as well.

If that thumbnail size has been active there is no need to regenerate. If you just activated it, then it would be best to regenerate. The regenerate plugin has an option to skip the correctly sized images, so it should regenerate only the new size

That would be correct, the theme will create thumbnails (the sizes which are enabled) from each image that is uploaded in the media library – https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
These will be displayed in various locations and elements, when needed.
1. Changing the post template won’t remove the thumbnails that were created or which will be created. But regardless of this, the post template of a post can be changed only by editing each post, this would take a lot of time however if there are many posts.

Make a backup of the database before, or try it at first in a local or sub-domain copy/clone of the website.

The thumbnails will be created regardless of planning to use them or not, in case they are needed. There are plugins that can be used to remove unused thumbnails

This plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ should be able to do that. It has an option to remove unused thumbnails, this should reduce the size considerably.

Do you know of a way to just generate thumbs in that specific size as we have thousands of images and a paid API for image size reduction which will cost a lot to regenerate for many thousands of images and thumbnails?

Hi, if i try to see preview post, it redirects to homepage.
I check hosting and Is all Ok, I delete htaccess e regenerate new.
The problem is with the theme, because I check with Health Check Plugin, and Only if I switch to Defautl Theme (tewnty ecc ) The problem diasappers…No plugin create conflicts. Please Help!

I followed the directions to Regenerate Thumbnails with the plugin and half of the images don’t work anymore.

In that case, please notice that your images do not have the right size and that’s why you bring these results. The thumbnail size has 324*235px. You can try to change and load another image, regenerate them using the Thumbnails Regenerate or Force Regenerate, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, if you are using some plugins to optimize your images, please remove all of these and leave just to active only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results.

Hi there,
Prior to the recent theme update, I had changed the thumbnail crop in td_config.php from ‘center top’, to ‘center center.’ With the update, the theme has reverted back to a ‘center, top’ cropping of thumbnails and the code in the td_config file is no longer the same as it was before the update.
I’ve searched through all the newly updated theme files (as best I can as someone with very little php knowledge) and the closest option I can find to set it back to a ‘center, center’ crop seems to be via td_api.php which is located inside the wp_booster folder. Unfortunately, after a lot of testing, it doesn’t seem to do anything, and my images (I added new media to my site to check this, also regenerated the thumbnails numerous times) continue to be cropped ‘center top’.
The formatting of my thumbnails is crucial to the setup of my category pages. If you could please point me in the right direction as to how I can change that particular setting with the new updated files, I would be so grateful.

Hi there,
We’ve been using the Newspaper Theme for quite some time, and have a lot of posts already created on our current site: thecampingpage.com. The issue is that we just enabled a CDN via WPEngine, and it’s working for the logo and the base “src” images for the homepage image grid, as well as the featured images for each unique blog post, however, for all of the responsive “srcset” images, it’s using a /relative image path that doesn’t pick up the CDN path, just the standard /wp-content path.
We’ve tried the following:
1. Cleared all site-related caches.
2. Regenerated thumbnails on one of the posts (as a test).
3. Deleted the featured image and re-assigned it on one of the posts (as a test).
None of these solved the issue of the /relative path not picking up the CDN path for the associated image.
If you right click the featured image you can see an example of the image code being used for one of the blog posts: https://thecampingpage.com/explainer-how-to-choose-a-tent/
You can see that the initial image search is picking up the full CDN path, but all the “srcset” instances are using the /relative path.
Any ideas on how to get these images instances to use the CDN path?

For some reason the Big Grid Flex 6 was showing 324 X 400, but was showing the images properly. When I changed MODULE CATEGORY GRID 1 Grid Size from xsmall-324 to small-696 they now show properly.
With the Big Grid 10, there is still a problem. There is no way to change the block grid size on it, so the images are really far out of bounds on it after running regenerate thumbnails.
I used the plugin the theme panel and your documentation say to us.

Your images must be at least the size of the thumbnail in order to see the images properly. The theme does not enlarge images. It only crops them.
After making sure the images are the correct size, please use the “force regenerate thumbnails” plugin to regenerate images.

Strabge looking images: We tried to regenerate image for a post via the plugin, after all was done, we did not notice any change.
