This actually worked, awesome support. Thank you so much..
works like a charm
thank you Marius.. 🙂
Hi,
Please make sure you have added this code:
//Prevent Disqus from blocking the WooCommerce Review form on product pages.
if ( 'product' == get_post_type() ) { return false; }
like here: http://screencast.com/t/cPJ542eC8cKr
In the previous message I haven’t formatted correctly the code so paste again the code provided, should work.
Thanks
I will have a go at both – thanks Lucian – you’re a star!
I tried putting in the code, it didn’t work. I swtiched my plugin system from disqus to livefyre and now livefyre comments show on the review page but not original commenting system from the theme.
Hi,
To reformat it so it takes up less space add this custom CSS:
.td-review {
margin-top: 0px !important;
margin-bottom: 10px;
}
.td-review-row-bars .td-review-desc {
padding-top: 0px !important;
}
.td-rating-bar-wrap {
margin-bottom: 0px !important;
}
.td_review_with_bars {
display: none;
}
..in Theme Panel -> Custom CSS
If you want you can look for CSS Tutorials on Google there are plenty of free courses.
Ex. http://www.w3schools.com/css/DEFAULT.asp
Thank you
Hi,
Are you using Disqus plugin? If you are using the Disqus plugin the issue is that disqus disables reviews on product page created by woocommerce, it disables wordpress comments. Please check if you use thsi plugin to disable it and try to see if the issue is still there and if you are not using it then check to se if your wordpress comments are enabled.If you are using Disqus please place the following code into the disqus.php, line 151 (this file is in the root of the plugin’s directory):
//Prevent Disqus from blocking the WooCommerce Review form on product pages.
if ( ‘product’ == get_post_type() ) { return false; }
hope that works.
Ah that’s wonderful – have never edited a php file and that did the trick wonderfully – thanks man 🙂
Nope, don’t have CSS knowledge either – but could probably do with getting some! Know any simple guides on how I can edit the formatting of this review section?
Much appreciated!
Hi,
You can move the review bar by moving one line of code in the loop-single.php file like this: http://screencast.com/t/v5Lqx7a2o and you have to paste it above the title like this: http://screencast.com/t/CQL6ARbTmf
To reduce the size vertically you need to add some custom CSS. Do you have CSS knowledge?
Thank you
Hi,
Try this on:
.widget_products {
margin-bottom: 28px;
}
.widget_products ul {
padding-top: 13px !important;
}
.widget_products a {
line-height: 21px;
font-size: 15px;
font-family: 'Roboto Condensed', sans-serif;
color: #333333;
padding-left: 0px !important;
}
.widget_products .attachment-shop_thumbnail {
box-shadow: none !important;
margin-left: 0px !important;
float: left !important;
width: 80px !important;
margin-right: 15px;
}
.widget_products .attachment-shop_thumbnail a {
padding: 0px !important;
font-weight: normal !important;
}
Thanks!
I also got that enabled in WooCommerce settings, see below.

And my website is http://tech-diggers.com/shop
Users can’t leave reviews if the product is from external link, it doesn’t give them an option to leave reviews on the site. And when the product is sold by me then only the submit review option is there.

Is this something from WooCommerce or there is anything i can do to fix this?
Please help, i want users to submit their reviews for products not sold on our website directly.
Also reviews are enabled, see screen shot

Thank you.
How to create aurhor and archive pages like this:

http://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/full_screen_preview/5489609
Hi there – I’m just starting to use the review functionality and I’m wondering how I can move the review from the default position – which seems to be the bottom of the blog – to elsewhere on the page (somewhere near the top)?
Also, it takes up quite a bit of page real estate – is there a way that someone like me with little html experience can reformat it so it takes up less space – essentially reducing the size vertically?
Thanks for your help!
Billy
Hi Marius,
I’m back, I use .net rather than .id, back to the issue http://www.screencast.com/t/G12j4pycJ29
you can check here http://jakcloth.net/lets-go-shop/
I appreciated for your help, thanks.
nice one – thanks Marius.
Hi,
Try this CSS, add it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS
.td-review-row-bars {
display: none;
}
Thanks!
Hi,
I use the popular categories widget as sown on the preview (http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/) bottom right.
My popular categories widget doesn’t show the most popular categories. It shows my categories randomly. When is a category popular? Is that based on posts or views? What do I have to do to display the categories based on their popularity? Most popular categories on top.
The large slider on my homepage has 4 posts. One large and three smaller ones along side. Also as shown on your preview. When I look at the website on my iPhone only the large one is shown. The three along side are gone. How can I make sure all of my latest posts are visible on the iPhone?
Thanks in advance!
Jalo
Aha! That did it! Thank you so much William!
Hey Jacob.. On your links in the review box replace any of these [“] with these[‘].. that should take care of it. I think.. 🙂 Try that and see if that takes care of it.
Cheers,
William
Was there any resolution to this? I’m having the same issue on http://substreammagazine.com/
Review Description: http://cl.ly/image/2g371C0P280h
Review Overview: http://cl.ly/image/0h0O0O3j0L21
Homepage Block 1 (Using Modules 2 & 3): http://cl.ly/image/0O1f113U3b0Z
As you can see, the end of the link is getting pulled into these modules and it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with excerpts.
Hi guys
I have updated to the latest version of the theme but now I have a problem with the review component.
Above the summary box there is now a line and a number that had previously been removed:
http://connecteddigitalworld.com/2014/06/13/review-murdered-soul-suspect/
can you tell me how to remove that line and the number so that only the summary box (with the score) is shown please?
thanks
Andrew
I’m getting the following error when I click on a category on my mega menu:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method td_module_1::get_bread_crumbs() in /..//Newspaper/includes/modules/td_module_1.php on line 20

Hello,
Here is the link where you can find the old styles applied
http://www.uspornaziarovka.sk/forum/diskusie/tema-znacky/led-pas-2/
the template css does not apply to this preview which is strange but anyway, you can see behind the topic in brackets like “topic, topic” (380 visits)
this is plugin called “bbP Topic Views” description “Counts the number of times a topic has been viewed, and allows the administrator to display the count in various places.”
it is a great plugins and its teasing for the topics which has got a frequent visits and all topics with large number visit is teasing the visitor to also check whats inside 🙂
