Hi,

So the main part of the problem is solved, the feed from your website contains the images now. I would have suggested the same solution, either with a code or with a plugin.

But I’m not sure about the caption of the image. First you should ask them if they are willing to display it, or if they can display it.
If they are, then it could be included in the feed. But either with a code or with a plugin. This plugin for example https://wordpress.org/plugins/rss-chimp/ specifies that it includes the image and also the title and description of the image https://prnt.sc/MyQOvM3RxNbC If it does that, then you could replace your current solution with this one.

Thank you!

Actually, I partially solved my problem. I came across this site that showed a work around:

https://woorkup.com/show-featured-image-wordpress-rss-feed/

However, now that the featured image is showing, I just wish it would include the text under the featured image as displayed on The Berkeley Observer website.

Hi there,

Our website, The Berkeley Observer (berkeleyobserver.com), partners with Newsbreak for syndication. The platform pulls our stories from our RSS feed.

This is our Newsbreak page: https://www.newsbreak.com/m/the-berkeley-observer-563020-articles

The problem is that when Newsbreak pulls in our articles, it NEVER includes the featured image/main image from The Berkeley Observer website to accompany the headline.

As a result, our articles appear on the Newsbreak site without an image and just the headline, which is not very appealing to readers.

Because Newsbreak hasn’t been using the first image of the story (our featured image), we have been FORCED to insert a second generic image into the article to avoid our Newsbreak feed from showing only a headline. We would rather NOT do that because we could use that image placeholder for an ad spot – and more than anything we really don’t like throwing in a second random image half the time.

This is what Newsbreak support told me when I brought the issue up with them:

“NewsBreak ingests content exactly as it appears in the RSS feed provided by the publisher. If the featured image is not being consistently pulled in, it is usually related to how the image is defined within the RSS feed itself.”

Can you guys offer an easy solution to this problem? I just want our featured image for our stories on The Berkeley Observer website to also be the SAME featured image pulled into Newsbreak.

Thank you for any help!

Nikki

Hi,
The RSS shortcode can be set in the “External shortcode” – https://prnt.sc/YU9GJjjV1hig

Hi Marcos,
Our theme do not have this kind of functionality, but it can be achieved using an extra plugin, something like:
– Feedzy RSS Feeds
– WP RSS Aggregator
https://prnt.sc/noEU2vUl2rpq

1. Open tagDiv Composer
2. Add a Shortcode block or shortcode element
3. Paste the RSS shortcode from the plugin

Example: [feedzy-rss feeds=”https://englishsite.com/feed” max=”5″]

I have the problem I imported content via RSS. That works fine. But on the front page the teaser / snippet text shows HTML code instead of the correct wysiwyg text. Any idea how to fix this?

Hi,
This can be done using dedicated plugins for RSS https://www.wpbeginner.com/showcase/best-wordpress-rss-feed-plugins/
Thank you!

Hi,

is it possible to integrate several rss feeds so that they create articles / news aggregator with the Newspaper theme? If so how and if not out of the box, what plugin would work with that?

Thx in advance

Another Idea.
I have the NewsWeek Pro template and using Rss.APP to generate the RSS feed URL. RSS.APP has several templates that allow you to build various widgets (News Wall, List, Carousel, and Ticker). The widgets come across within the RSS feed URL to build the articles. Both of these products work great.

Hi,

I am using WP RSS Aggregator Pro v5 coupled with the tagdiv Newspaper Default Pro theme for a news aggregator site.

Can I add the RSS Aggregator shortcode to an already created flex block to get the direct external link functionality? My current set up has a nice-looking homepage. If you click an article on the homepage I am taken to another page on my site for the article. I want to have the first click on the article to link directly to the external site for the full article. Is this possible with the Flex Blocks?

Thanks!

I have a blog page on my site set to pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination. I can’t remember where I told it to pull from a specific RSS Feed – I set this up so long ago. Thxs.

Hi, I am working with WPRSS and I am trying to find out what the field name in the database for the ‘Featured Video’ entry that is used for video embeds in the sidebar of the theme. Further, Where is this stored in the database. Is this handled by a plugin or the theme itself?

Thank you for your assistance,

John

Hi,
It is possible that the company name and the year are added by an extension plugin that you are using and adds extra details for RSS. Can you provide a link to check the RSS?
Thank you!

OK, I do know, that I get RSSfeeds from my site following a URL like mydomain.com/category/category-name/feed

But I find at the end of the generated feed a copyright-notice with my company-name (fine with that) + an old year (in my case 2023) after each entry. How and where can I change the company-name and the year?

Hi tagDiv Team,

I am reaching out on behalf of Tendences.lv, a Latvian news and lifestyle portal that currently contains approximately 6,000 articles. Over time, while testing various themes, templates, and plugin combinations, our website has become increasingly heavy and slow.

Despite using optimization tools such as WP Rocket, our Google PageSpeed Insights scores remain low—approximately 60% on mobile and 75% on desktop. Most concerning is the fact that we are now receiving warnings about poor Core Web Vitals across the entire site, with Google Search Console recommending improvements for all pages.

Additionally, we have accumulated over 6,000 RSS feed URLs, which are currently being indexed, but do not lead to actual content pages. Google is now flagging these and requesting their removal from the index.

Given these issues, I have the following questions:

Is there a way to fully reset our WordPress theme and related settings, so we can start fresh with lightweight templates for each view (mobile, desktop, etc.)—ideally restoring WordPress and the theme to default without excess custom code or data?

If a full reset is not possible, could your team assist us in cleaning and optimizing the site (both technically and structurally)? If so, could you please provide a rough estimate of the cost for such work?

We are looking for a sustainable solution that would allow us to improve speed, pass Core Web Vitals, and resolve the indexing issues long-term.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to your reply.

Best regards,
Aldis

Hi Aldis, as @simchris mentioned, those feeds are not generated by our theme, are from WordPress and extra plugins you are using, but if you have a SEO plugin you can check the settings related to rss feeds – https://rankmath.com/kb/disable-rss-feeds/

Thank you!

wordpress creates the rss feeds, not the theme

We are using the Newspaper theme on our site Tendences.lv and noticed that it generates /feed pages, which are being crawled by Google but not indexed.

Is there a way to disable feed generation directly at the theme level?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards,

i did make the whole ads from the theme panel all disable but they still shows

Hello!

Try to use a plugin like WP RSS Aggregator plugin and in our theme, we have the text with title or column text shortcode that can be used to display the shortcode with RSS feed. Unfortunately, we do not have any special settings for the RSS feeds.

Thank you!

Hello! I am looking to embed the RSS feeds from the other website (just like there is a wordpress feature RSS feed in the editor, that can be used in posts and pages). Its handy.
Is there a quicker way to add a particular category feed (from any other website feed) to the home page, preferably via the tagdiv composer in a creative way?

The feeds can be for example

ABCD: https://viloa.com/feed/?post_type=abcd
ABRA: https://violin.com/feed/?post_type=bcda
CADaBRA: https://damru.com/feed/?post_type=zumba

Hello ! I installed WP RSS Aggeegator plugin and added a rss feed url. It generated a shortcode and I’m not sure where in tagdivi to place it. I tried in the Column Text block, but whn I click on the edit button, the popup just spins and spins ? At a loss ??

thanks !
