When I want to share an article via the social media button from Newspaper, a popup from twitter appears with:

But I want to remove the last part of the text: ‘via @Femke Fataal’

Hi, we are experiencing an issue with social sharing on one of our domains, http://www.bizavadvisor.com, using NewsMag. When I click the Twitter, or Facebook icon I am not receiving a popup to share the post, but a new page.
On our site http://www.metroairportnews.com, the social sharing works fine, this site uses Newspaper.
Also, when I share the url on Linked, the preview image and description is not being displayed. Any help would be appreciated.

I am having trouble with the main twitter share button on the post pages. Pic below

When I test the twitter share link on the post pages, which is located both above and below the post, it opens in the same window tab and not in a popup like the demo shows.
It also has 2 @ symbols in the twitter share window. Pic below

I do not have the have the tagDiv Social Counter activated and have checked the Yoast SEO settings and the theme panel Social Networks settings to make sure the twitter account @ symbol is not included.
Please advise.

I have an issue with the twitter share button on my posts. Whenever I click it, it opens in the same window in stead of the popup. Please help me with this. There are no issues with the facebook and G+ buttons. Only twitter is creating problems.

hello I removed the social share plugin and the popup of twitter share button are still broken

The share links are opening in the same window because you have altered the code and somehow broken the default behavior. Newspaper comes with share links that open in a popup. Use the original files to revert the remaining links back to their default state.

Use that plugin for WhatsApp integration, or search for others.
The classic Facebook and Twitter buttons can be removed from the theme settings panel. Go to Post Settings > Sharing to administrate those options.
Hi Sir, I am not good in coding so I am messed up all the way. This is my website: http://www.kickscoop.com I removed the pinterest and google+ share button from blog post. Now i want all these things to be customized in Social share buttons:
1) Adding a “Share on Whatsapp” button both in top and bottom of the post. Also customize the buttom to look green and have whatsapp icon (Whatsapp Share URL: whatsapp://send?text=The text to share! [Got it from Stackoverflow] )
2) Remove the Classic Facebook like and Twitter tweet button from bottom sharing buttons and also remove the boxed part. Both the sharing buttons present above and below should look nearly the same. Also after clicking “Tweet on Twitter” the share url should popup, not open it in the same tab.
3) “Share on Whatsapp” button should be visible only on tablet and mobile devices but not in desktop devices.
Sir, Can you please help me to customize? If you can just edit the codes and share it with me or I can mail you my login credentials so that you can make change directly from my admin panel if you wish. Thanks in advance

there is a problem with the Twitter share button. If anyone use it, there is no redirect to the page. It stucks at Twitter and the user is gone. That is NOT good.
How to fix this? A popup would be nice like the Facebook button.

The example is noted above in the image (ie. Share a link with your followers), but here it is again (it is a screenshot of what a tweet popup button looks like when you click on the Twitter button): 
When clicking on the Twitter button that the theme uses when you activate sharing in post settings (either Top Article Sharing or Bottom Article Sharing), the Twitter button puts special characters in the tweet text when you use ‘ or & in the title of your post.

are you sure that this issue is fixed?
I still have it. It appears whenever I embed a Twitter link in a post. A click on the Twitter share button opens its popup twice regardless of whether a Twitter link or a Twitter embed code is used.
If I activate “Article Like/Tweet/G+” additionally via Theme Panel it doesn’t happen.
Any ideas?
