1) AMP – I got the answer, it’s coming in future update.
2) Message / alert box – I haven’t got the answer. Are you suggesting me to use custom code for this as well ?. If you can add dropcaps, buttons then why not message box ?. I can modify the css file and add code but with every update the code goes off. Since i want to display colored message box, i have to define multiple codes for each color in css. Can’t you even consider this as a request ?.
3) 4)- I Got the answer. Can you tell me how do we change background color of quote box ?.
5) haven’t got the answer. How do we ensure google adsense ads are displayed in firefox and chrome when they are blocked.
6) Post update date – I have referred the post and it does not display updated date in google search. It just adds “last updated label” to all posts. Though you have updated the post or not, it just shows last updated on all posts which is incorrect. Ideally it should show last updated date only if post has been updated recently. So please give me a proper solution for this.

Hi,
The images are displaying fine at the moment from what I can see, on the whole website
– https://www.screencast.com/t/OA2JjvvyxQGs
Only the latest version is available for download. In order to update the theme please follow this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The most recommended method would be by FTP, and as always make a backup first. Update the theme plugins as well (deactivate and remove, then reinstall from latest theme package).
Note that in version 8 of the theme, the tagDiv composer was introduced. This composer will be activated by default when the theme is updated or installed. In order to use it all the pages have to be recreated with it. Or you can continue using Visual composer for the moment, and make the transition when you want, if you want. More about it here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Also a multi-purpose plugin was introduced, this adds many more elements and options to the tagDiv composer only
– https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0ARTSimnUY&t=287s
Visual composer (now WPBakery Page Builder) is still provided in the theme package and updates are included along with the theme
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Let us know if you should encounter issues after the update. It is a general recommendation to always keep WordPress and the theme updated.
Thanks
Hi,
The tagDiv composer is a plugin as well. It can be deactivated in the plugins section if needed. Note that it will automatically be activated after a theme update, that is the current functionality.
The theme package includes the Visual composer page builder, check the plugins folder
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/
It will be updated along with theme updates.
If you do not want to use this bundled version included in the theme package, you could purchase a separate plugin with license. In that case try to use similar versions as the one provided with the theme. When the plugin is updates by it’s developers, we will test it first and only then include it. More about this here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks
The text highlighting has an issue where it overlaps with the above line. Please check this screenshot – https://snag.gy/Ry5YwI.jpg
Please fix this in upcoming update if possible.
Please advice.
http://www.the-blockchain.com is broken after and upgrade and the ads which were on the right sidebar are now on the bottom. I can’t for the life of me figure it out.
Thanks for your answer.
Am I right in assuming that editing the code in the child theme should keep any changes in case of an update?
Hello,
it’s been a while since I haven’t updated my theme. I noticed that I stayed at version 7.8.
Unfortunately, at the moment in the download area I can only download the patch to switch from version 8.5 to version 8.6.
How can I switch from version 7.8 to the latest version?
Thank you in advance for the help you will give me
Gabriele
Ps: I would also have a problem with photos in related posts and in some blocks. They do not appear.
The website is https://giuricivile.it.
I hope that updating the theme will solve the problem….
Today I woke up and to my demise TD Composer had stopped working. A fault CSS loader has taken place of the fast, original one, it simply quits the loading. It loads header background color then stops, sinalizing several jQuery errors.
I:
– disabled all plugins
– updated theme from 8.5.1 to 8.6
– update theme’s plugins
– cleared cache
– disabled cache plugin
Nothing worked!
Hi,
I have got some feature requests, could you please look to add them in upcoming updates.
1) AMP theme and ads – Currently AMP plugin by automatic doesn’t display ads, could you come up with a new AMP plugin and allow us to display ads(more like a mobile theme plugin which you have).
2) Message box/ alert box + custom list shortcode – I know we can display a neat message box using custom css code. But if you could add it under shortcodes dropdown options (where buttons, dropbox and other shortcodes) are present, it would be great. Something like this –
https://snag.gy/8bdvku.jpg
https://snag.gy/PJnDwj.jpg
3) Ability to style quotes – Is there a way to set background for quotes ?. Something like this –
https://snag.gy/va4PHe.jpg
4) Ads on/off switch – Can you create a option to turn off ads for whole site at once ?. Currently one has delete the ads from all the locations > save to see how better website works with / without ads.
5) Adblocker detection – Can you add a feature where the website reports that adblocker is detected and one has to disable to view the site.
6) Post update date – Can you add an option to show post last updated date ?. I am very sure the current workaround of replacing the code doesn’t work well.
Hi Bogdan,
thank you for your response.
Where should I than deactivate the tagdiv composer after the updates? And where did I find the plugins? And is it possible to buy the full license of the VC (for further updates) at evato for example?
Hi,
You could make the modifications directly in the main file, and make a backup of the file. Then restore it after theme updates. That may be a solution.
Thanks
Hello,
It is always recommended to make a full back-up of your site before attempting such a big update. I also recommend creating a duplicate of your site on a subdomain and apply the update there so if anything goes wrong, you will not affect the live site. If you used VC on posts, then you will not be able to use the tagdiv composer so you should disable it (it activates automatically when updating) You should also make sure you update the plugins as well. Plugins that come with the theme will not update automatically so you have to disable and delete them and then install them again from the main theme package.
Thank you!
That file cannot be modified through the child theme, according to the guide
– https://www.screencast.com/t/RHHJFsETYXi
The only way would be to make the modification in the theme file directly. You could update the theme by patch, while checking if the respective file was modified in any when an update is released.
Each theme package will contain a patch folder

Thanks
Hello agidulyan,
Please update the theme to the latest version of it because in that version we have added a lot of social networks as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Q4js7GfVHgLX
Thanks for your understanding!
For me the Like is displayed in English, I have tried to change it as you mention
– https://www.screencast.com/t/08G6z680X
Seems to work on desktop – https://www.screencast.com/t/mrsklJspC
And on mobile as well – https://www.screencast.com/t/UZ7behFArict
Code entered in the theme panel will be saved in the database, so this is considered a safe way to use custom code. It will not be lost after a theme update.
Hello,
You use visual composer on posts Here is the code from the inspector on that post: https://www.screencast.com/t/toQpYPoF
That is why it now behaves like so
If you are not sure if you use vc on posts, simply disable vc and check the post again. If you see shortcodes on your post, then it was created using VC.
In this case you have 2 options
Option 1: disable the tagdiv composer and use vc just as before. (the new tagdiv composer activates automatically on a new theme update so you have to manually disable it)
Option 2: Remove any vc elements from your posts and start using the tagdiv composer and no longer use a page builder to create your posts.
Thank you!
Hi,
Indeed that is a pretty old version of the theme. Much has changed in the theme since then. Also there might be issues with the latest version of WordPress.

Would modifying the style.bbpress.css directly, and keeping an up to date backup which would be restored after a theme update, be the right way to go?
Hello, I am a buyer, and I am trying to change some things in my newspaper config, but it is not working.
The parts are gray and and don’t find any button to save changes.
Can you help me please.
It happed after reinstalling with the new update of the theme.
I already conferred the purchased code and it is there.
I’m in the process of modifying bbpress by using style.css within my child theme folder.
My issue is that style-bbpress.css already has values with !important, making my changes in style.css that require !important invalid and not recognised.
I’d rather not edit style.bbpress.css specifically as I don’t like the idea of it being lost when updates rollout.
Any advice would be appreciated on how to go about this.
Thanks
Hi,
we´re using the Newspaper Theme in version 7.8.1 and we want now to update at the latest version. Our online news portal has a lot of content …
Also we have many pages and articles build with Visual Composer and so we wouldn´t use the tagdiv composer. How we should now update? How we could deactivate the tagdiv composer – if we have to do this?
Are there any other issues which could happend, if we didn´t use your composer?
And the last questions (for the future): Is there an “easy” way to transfer all content created with Visual Composer to tagdiv composer – or have we to re-create all content which has been made with the Visual Composer? And what about articles which has content like shortcodes?
Thanks a lot for your help
hello how can i disable the function called “td_ajax_update_views”. to reduce admin-ajax.php execution on each page ?
Hi,
Found the solution, I have to changed this code is td_module.php.
function get_author() {
$buffy = '';
if ($this->is_review === false or td_util::get_option('tds_m_show_review') == 'hide') {
if (td_util::get_option('tds_m_show_author_name') != 'hide') {
$author_alias = get_post_meta($this->post->ID, 'author_alias', true);
$author_name = !empty($author_alias)? $author_alias : get_the_author_meta('display_name', $this->post->post_author);
$buffy .= '<span class="td-post-author-name">';
$buffy .= 'post->post_author) . '">' . $author_name . '' ;
if (td_util::get_option('tds_m_show_author_name') != 'hide' and td_util::get_option('tds_m_show_date') != 'hide') {
$buffy .= ' <span>-</span> ';
}
$buffy .= '</span>';
}
}
return $buffy;
}
td_module.php file is ignored in Child Theme? If I make there the change nothing changes.
Any option to keep this modification and not lost it in the next update?
Thanks
Is there an updated version of composer? Maybe that would help?
Ok I understand. Basically you are considering p tags as paragraphs, but wordpress default tag for paragraph creation is div tag.
Is there any option to consider div as a paragraph tag then?
I have more than 500 posts that are based on div tag that I would need to update if not…
