Everytime the system make a theme update our header and footer crashes, as same as the mobile theme, could you help us, because it is a lot of work to change each time
Firstly, to start on a positive note – I do like the Newspaper theme and would like to continue using the theme.
However, would it be possible to set out the definitive way to update your theme, especially when you release an update. It would help so many people who need assistance. The last updates seem to have caused chaos and broken sites etc for many. I am currently using v 9.7.4 and have held off updating to the more recent versions because I don’t trust the process….and haven’t the time, energy or patience to rebuild various sections of the site etc
In a previous update, you mentioned Standard Pack… Can you please explain the relevance to utilising the Standard Pack

I contacted one of our developers to for some more information about the TDC_HISTORY from database and for what it is use for.
In TDC_HISTORY are store all the steps made using tagDiv Composer on all pages and cloud template that you used tagDiv Composer (and you have in cloud template ->https://i.imgur.com/0NbEObD.png), in this way you can use the undo and redo options -> https://i.imgur.com/p9074lE.jpg and you can restore backups from them panel -> https://i.imgur.com/QqX33GE.png also you have the ability to edit the pages/templates from any terminal and different desktops by having the same history.
In TDC_HISTORY are stack all the movements made with tagDiv Composer to can revert to a prev version (for example if you accidentally delete a different element from the one you want, you can use the undo).
Therefore, if you want to delete the data from TDC_HISTORY, you can do it, but you need to know that we do not recommend this, because it can affect the theme options.
Also I’ve got a spam from developer about the coming updates, in one of them, will be add an on/of option for those who do not want to use all these savings options.

As I can see you do not longer ave the Newspaper theme on the website, also I see that you have WordPress v5.4 this version was not tested with Newspaper v10.3.1 and as far I know is not compatible 100%, for this will appear very soon a theme update.

I also want to stop published date from showing on google searches and have modified date displayed instead. I had this working fine until I updated to the latest version of newspaper theme and I cant remember what I did a few years back to get it working. Please help.

Usually this problem appear when you do not install the right file and you try to install the whole theme package.

Im not sure if this helps, but I believe my site updated automatically to 5.4 overnight. When i checked it today nothing was workign it was like a basic wordpress theme, and after i checked the Newspaper theme settings it was though it was not installed showing all the theme plugins and deactivated. I had to re-install them all then site was back to normal and working fine now

Hello, so, WP requires updates. That is fine. Updating WP doesn’t damage site content. But WP is imposing a theme update, that “tweenty twenty” theme. What do we do ? Delete the theme? How can we delete it? Thanks

We found that there is no layout on page section. We can not create a new page. However, we use child-theme to fix it. Please release an update for it.

The mobile theme plugin is a different theme only for mobile version, if you are using it, the mobile version or amp version or both (depends the option you are using -> https://i.imgur.com/rCtfM8O.png) will look different from the responsive version (desktop version). If you cant use the mobile theme only for amp.
If you want to have the same layout, please use the responsive version option from mobile theme -> https://imgur.com/xsUh0vU and do not set any content in mobile editor.
The settings that you can make for the mobile theme plugin can be found in theme panel > mobile theme -> https://i.imgur.com/EcKUEJa.png unfortunatly for the moment the mobile theme have only few options, there will be more add in coming updates.
