I have updated to the latest version, including the mobile plug-in, which is now working well.
However, there is one thing I can’t seem to fix — on the attached screenshot you will see categories SHENZHEN snd HEALTH SERVICES under the heading and above the description: https://prnt.sc/om1nos
I would like to remove these, so if you could suggest how I could do this, that would be great.

First of all, ensure that you have correctly installed and updated the theme to the latest version of it. I have checked on my website and that setting is there but please note that’s available only on Gutenberg editor, like this -> https://i.imgur.com/q89qm44.png.

Please provide some more details about how you set those SEO tags, if those are set with a plugin, then those are saved in database and will not be affect by the theme update, if those are set in the theme core/files ( html/php/js code ) then those will be lost.

Hi, I have tried lots of time to install new updated in WordPress but it’s not installing and we all know when we change theme all the tags get changed. I was hoping the newspaper theme designer to bring to feature in WordPress to update the theme.. Please tell me how to install new updates without worrying about SEO tags

That is not possible at the moment, unless maybe making modifications in the mobile theme code. From what I know this is added on our list as it has been suggested before, we will try to add more inline ads for desktop and loop ads for mobile in coming updates. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi, I have updated my theme to the latest version and I see some new demos are available. If I enable this theme then will I be getting this function?

Why does Newspaper not have Child theme? Every update erase modifications in present theme.

Why there is no normal update inside wordpress anyway? Updates like that most likely will mess up something, it looks like i won’t be updating this theme at all.

I’ve updated Newspaper theme and plugins and I noticed the menu bar doesn’t look like it supposed to.
Before the update it was a black bar with logo and menu and above the big grid, now, on the main paige, it’s ON the big grid and the background of the menu is transparent. Because of that menu is totally illegible.
I’ve checked the Theme panel and the settings are okay. I can’t change it even with the Composer.
Please help.

Indeed the problem seams to be on the ajax, I checked on may install and this is working normally; please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict with untested plugins, please deactivate all non theme, also if you are using child theme, clear all cache and try again.
If the problem persist you can make a theme update to the last version, but please make first a full backup.

Indeed we do not recommend the child theme, but if you want you can use it, but just make sure that you have the last version of the theme ( v.9.7.4) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Also all the settings and code you set in the Theme panel will not be lost if you make a theme update, because all the settings and codes are saved in database on local in theme files, when you make the theme update only the theme files will be change.

Navigating away from an AMP page or post will display the mobile theme (non-AMP). So regardless of being on the AMP version of a page, beginning to browse the website there will no AMP anymore.
The logo looks quite small for some reason, looks like it has a limited size. Try to enter this code in the mobile theme CSS section

It may take a while before changes will be seen in Google AMP. You could try this

Regarding the flag switcher it is the same for me. It does not appear in AMP. From what I can find in a topic they mentioned that for AMP it would be better to use this option

Or consider using the language names instead of flags.

This is not just a simple code, I think that will be better to set this code in functions.php and would be preferable to set it in a child theme, in this way you’ll not lose the code when you’ll make a theme update ( also make sure hat you have the last version of the theme, v9.7.4).

I’m new to the Newspaper theme, so I just want to get something straight in my head. With respect to child themes, it’s clear that you don’t really recommend using them, but I just want to check if any custom code (css, etc) added via the Newspaper Theme Panel, will be deleted when the theme updates? Can someone please advise?

Yes, when I stretch the header, menu items moving to the left, so there’s an annoying gap on the right side.
The language switcher is ok with the mobile theme. But When I enable amp for the home pages, the switcher disappears. Also the logo size gets smaller when amp enabled. Please see the sreenshots..
When you are on the amp version and click the logo to go to home page, it goes to mobile version, not amp.

UPDATE: AMP Version only shows switcher when we enable LANGUAGE NAME from the switcher options, it does not show the swithcer when selected FLAGS to show them.
