I know that I can translate the strings “product tags” and “product categories” in the Theme Panel –> Translations:

https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/23971898?key=876d743247816653dab9063fcea848b6

That worked well until I activated the WPML plugin. Now, after WPML is active, the website does not use the translations from Theme panel –> Translations anymore. How do I translate these two strings now?

Hi.
I am considering using WPML.
When using WPML Can the search result page be displayed in each language?
Headers, footers, descriptions, etc.?
Thank you for your help.

Hi,
Do you have pages for second the languages ? Also, do you have cloud templates assigned to them?
Maybe there is no contend assigned and that it is not displaying the language switcher.
Using the Theme Translations with WPML
If you want we can also take a look at the settings you have made.
Thank you!

Hi Team,

Thanks for your quick response. I have faced one more issue with the WPML language switcher. When I have added language switcher shortcode in the header. This shortcode displays the WPML switcher on the editor page as shown in the screenshot(https://prnt.sc/vlblCdxp9V6_). But we are not able to see language switcher on the front page (https://prnt.sc/J9OGoReGWpzH). Please help with this…

Thanks

Hi hactor,
If I understand correctly, you’ll like to use the WPML language shortcode, That should work and the shortcode can be set using tagDiv Composer in a column text or text with title in text zone -> https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-coding-api/shortcodes/
If this is not what you mean, please let me know!

Hello @redicon!

We recommend WPML plugin for translations: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
In order to translate the dates, change the language from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/XudCjKYg
Search about the word you need to change in Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Translations -> Translations and replace the word from the right side: https://www.screencast.com/t/6DSm0hd85

Hope that helps you!

Thank you!

Hi,

If you want to translate the website into a second language, you can use the WPML plugin or maybe the polylang plugin.
The WPML plugin is tested and it is a premium plugin.

Thank you!

Hi,
If you are using the WPML plugin, then you’ll need to translate the text from that plugin per each language using the string translate -> https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/
For the fonts I suggest to use a google font, in case that your font is not in the google fonts list, then load the font as custom -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/
Thank you!

Hi,

I try to correct some translations. However the corrections are not reflected.

Log Out? means Çıkış yap.

I have corrected it in translations section. But it doesn’t work.

Another problem is the FONTS. They don’t support my language as it seems. You can see it in the first screenshot. Do you have any suggestion for this? I would like the keep the fonts same if possible between languages.

Try here:

https://wpml.org/

I am using it for English, Spanish, and German. I will add other languages when I have the time.

Not free but excellent value for money if you are working with multiple languages.

I actually found out that, hiding the second language in WPML is causing this issue if the edited page is in the hidden language. None of the other solutions helped.

Hi,

I try to translate the templates. To do that, I duplicate a template. Then change its language, however after the change I cant edit with the composer. I get the following error. https://imgur.com/a/3KOR67v

BTW if try to add a new template by clicking the plus button, that doesnt create a template type. Therefore I try to duplicate and then translate.

I deactivated WPML plugins and… the editing possibilities for header and footer are back to me. So the problem is in compatibility TagDiv Newspaper with WPML.

https://prnt.sc/26nv6p7 – 3 WPML plugins are deactivated 3
https://prnt.sc/26nv7sl – footer is ready to edit
https://prnt.sc/26nv878 – header could be edited too

IDK what exactly doing with this. But I plan to make a multilanguage site.

Maybe some more information from me could help you find out the issue with WMPL and Newspaper Theme compatibility?

Hello, Anamaria! Thank you for your quick response.

I imported a London Pro Theme from cloud themes and started to change it for our purposes. And before WPML was installed it was all OK – I can edit header, footer and body from TagDiv Composer from any page.

Regarding your questions:

1. I’m using a Cloud template for header and footer (it comes from London Pro theme, as I mentioned before).

2. Regarding footer template. I understand that no button “Edit with TagDiv” is OK, maybe i missed it. But the problem is that I could edit it from frontend and after installing WPML editing possibilities gone. I tried to import another footer from Cloud Library but no luck – it has no editing functionality too.

He there!

We’re using the latest Newspaper Theme and after installing last version of WMPL plugin we lost the possibility to edit header and footer from TagDiv Composer. Plz see screenshots https://prnt.sc/26nk9x4 and https://prnt.sc/26nka91

We still could edit the Header from the Cloud Templates menu, but the Footer lost the link “Edit with TagDiv” https://prnt.sc/26nkat2

I think it was after WPML install but I’m care to lost all work if we uninstall WMPL.

Please help me to resolve this.

Hi Calin,

Thank you for your answer. The Polylang plugin does not traslates only strings. It allows you to create different templates per language.

As for the footer, i am using a page, not a cloud template. – https://prnt.sc/26cd8sc

The problem that i am facing right now is that even if i use multiple languages, i cannot choose different footer for each language, meaning i can set only 1 footer for the entire website.

Even if i translate this page, i cannot set it for my english version of website. – https://prnt.sc/26cd9f9

Is there nothing else i can do to make this work?

PS: The WPML plugin is not free. Thats why i am not using it.

Waiting for your reply soon,

Thank you.
