After changing to the Newspaper theme, the cache size is increased up to 1GB. Also, I am getting 503 errors frequently and unable to make any changes.

These depend on that settings you are using on you cache plugin, here is an similar case with Autoptimize cache size quickly get over 100% -> https://wordpress.org/support/topic/autoptimize-cache-size-quickly-get-over-100/page/2/
We recommend to use WP Super Cache with the settings from our guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
