Been having an odd problem that suddenly popped up yesterday in regards to sharing on social media. I have the latest update of the theme, but it started just before that.
Have spoken with Godaddy and they say is nothing on the server side –hoping you guys can figure this out– that would be awesome 🙂
This is what is happening:
Here is a shot of a recent article I tried to share on facebook that didn’t display the title or image. To fix it I posted the link and ran on the debugger. Here is what it looked like:
http://brandinginasia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Screen-Shot-2017-01-27-at-12.27.42-AM.jpg
It should be fully linked story with thumbnail and everything (http://brandinginasia.com/mccann-table-end-hunger/) but it’s getting that weird “Redirect Path” from one URL to the same URL.
Then I hit “scrape” and get this:
http://brandinginasia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Screen-Shot-2017-01-27-at-12.32.09-AM.jpg
Better, but no image.
Then hit “scrape” several more times and finally get it correctly displayed.

I thought it might be a Facebook problem but it’s also happening on Twitter and occasionally on Linked in.
Love some insight – you guys are the best.
thanks!
Bobby

Getting these messages from Facebook scraper offering some insights
“Could Not Follow Redirect – URL requested a HTTP redirect, but it could not be followed.”
“Circular Redirect Path Circular redirect path detected (see ‘Redirect Path’ section for details).
Redirect Path
Input URL: http://brandinginasia.com/tobias-wilson-interview/
302 HTTP Redirect: http://brandinginasia.com/tobias-wilson-interview/
Hello,
Please try this solution: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27824651/facebook-sharer-object-moved-302-error as this is not theme related and it is little i can do from the theme side. Also test this on a wp default theme and see if the sharing still gets the redirect.
Thank you!
Bogdan, thanks. Have tried your suggestions. Have also tried with Default theme.
Looks like not with your theme. Does that mean it is with GoDaddy? They say it is not them and are pointing the finger at WordPress.
Appreciate your opinion before closing ticket 🙂
Thanks!
Bobby
