I’ve activated the theme is there an slicker way to update the theme now?
I tried to update using the following link:

There is no .zip file to upload!
Please advise…
The zip file is found in your ThemeForest account under ‘downloads’ …

As the old Envato Toolkit has become deprecated, it was replaced with a new plugin called Envato Market. Follow these steps to automatically update your theme.
Step 1 – Download the Envato WordPress plugin from here: http://envato.github.io/wp-envato-market/
Step 2 – Upload and activate the envato wordpress plugin (.zip file that you downloaded).
There is no .zip plugin in any of these links and they don’t refer to plugin. If this is actually meant for the actual theme and its .zip file then maybe it should have been worded that way? it’s just not clear all i’m saying.

Borden, when you click that .zip link the files that are downloaded there is no .zip file

okay used chrome instead and the .zip file downloads (which seems to the the full theme) its called envato-market.zip however once unzipped there is no .zip file to upload to the plugins as suggested on that webspage…

You do not need to unzip that file. That is the zip you need. Once you download the file do not unzip it but access your dashboard and from the plugins section press the add new button: http://screencast.com/t/v4ffLvHdYzCD then press the upload plugin button: http://screencast.com/t/b7o3ZLwXJfCU. Done. Thanks. it’s just this method of updating the theme via the plugins is new and first time i’m hearing about this.
Do you know if this can be done with other themes with other publishers?
Also, I assume this update won’t effect previous changes as nothing noticeable so far?
Hi,
The envato market updater will work with any theme bought from envato. It will not work for any other themes though. The update will not affect any changes you made (except for code customization).
