Ad banner re-appeared again after last update

Hi there,

the last update re-introduced an ad banner. Could you please stop this! We paid for the license. We don’t want to have an ad banner for the theme on the front page!!!

This site is our staging server and not open to the public. So, I can’t provide an useful URL. Just tell me how to get rid of the banner. We had the same problem after the last update. I assume, this banner works how it is intended. But this is very much not appreciated!

Hello,

The theme does not bring back anything if you make changes, only if you re-import the template.
Usually, the ads in prebuilt websites are set in the element AD BOX, and you can remove it, edit with tagDiv Composer, select the viewport for phone and select the Ad box element and with right-click you can delete it => https://www.screencast.com/t/2GfCVx9BCAw7 or with drag & drop place it into the deleting red zone from the bottom right of the page
The ad box has 3 sections for ads: using theme panel ads -> https://i.imgur.com/KFa9ibl.png, using images/banners -> https://i.imgur.com/MfAPTaE.png and custom code -> https://i.imgur.com/2rh8SuD.png save it and will appear on the post (you can set a shortcode like a shortcode from adrotate plugin or other plugins).

Thank you!

We had this topic before. I got the same answer, and of course it was the UPDATE that re-installed the ad banner. I did not re-import any templates. At least, I did not do this deliberately. I just updated the theme and the included plugins from the dashboard. I wouldn’t even know HOW to re-import the templates.

I was able to remove the banner. However, I would prefer to avoid this additional work. Why does the banner always re-appear?

Hi,

Normally, the update doesn’t bring any banner that you removed.

Thank you!

Again, we had this before. Yes, it DOES. This is the reason, why we don’t update more often. It is simply too much work.
Just explain to me HOW I would re-install the templates during the update. I don’t even know how. Let alone that I did it on purpose. Is there a checkbox or anything else to consider?

Hi,

You do not need to reinstall the template after the update. This is a guide how to update theme https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Thank you!

Again, I did NOT (!) re-install anything. And yes, I know how to update a theme. I did it exactly like in your documentation. We use one global template for single posts. And very obviously that changed after the update.

But ok, that’s probably your idea of support for paying customers!
