ACF button link not working

Hi,

I set up an url by using ACF (type URL) in a button in a module template. I read every post in the forum to figure out how it works. The field name for URL is web_url, I put in {cf_web_url} into button url. The link is not working correctly. What am I doing wrong? Any ideas?

Thank you
Carolin

Hello,

Please let me know if you have a URL on that post? If you create a module please make sure that you have a URL set for the posts.
You can provide some screenshots with your settings.

Thank you!

Hi Anamaria,
what do you mean: “if you have a URL on that post”? The button link is an external link.

Best regards
Carolin

Hi,

To work that button, you need to have a URL set like here on the post, for example, -> https://i.imgur.com/9R7L3nl.png -> https://i.imgur.com/2ZJZXR5.png -> https://i.imgur.com/DJZCFMV.png

Thank you!

Hi Anamaria,

I try to figure it out myself: I followed this guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/introduction-cpt-acf-newspaper-theme/. This in mind I created taxonomies using the Custom Post Type Plugin.

But I checked the demo “doctors”: Your taxonomies are build within ACF. What is the best practice?

Hello,

We will check soon. The first time we started implementing custom post types and taxonomies, the ACF plugin did not have support for them. Now, you can use only the ACF plugin where you can create custom fields, custom post types, and taxonomies.

Thank you!

Yes, I understand. This why I recreate the setup only using ACF. But the button link is still not working. Thanks for checking.

Best regards
Carolin
