Hello,
I’d like to ask 2 questions about the footer in order to support some changes our product needs.
1. The footer allows embeding instagram posts, where ~5 images are displayed on the total website width. This is awesome, but I would like to display 5 custom made images, using the same styling, that link to specific URLs. Without any connection to instagram.
To give you a better idea: imagine our website needs to show the international partners we are working width. The footer is the best place and the current styling you provide is awesome, I just need to be able to upload 5 custom images and the hrefs for it. Would this be possible in any way?
2. How’s the current Editor’s choice and popular posts sections made in the footer? How can I alter/change them?
Hi,
1. You could use the image box widget in the footer section – https://www.screencast.com/t/DhW2iBwvHQ1e that supports 4 images at a time with the possibility to use custom url – https://www.screencast.com/t/4euyod8rL1n and additional customization to the images used – https://www.screencast.com/t/2zXM5715 This is an example – https://www.screencast.com/t/8PJGb2QD
2. Some of the footer templates come with predefined content – https://www.screencast.com/t/rlq3ZEuqvpC1 and some have no content, they are blank. You can add content in the footer using the three sections in Appearance->Widgets – https://www.screencast.com/t/daE94ZXjd5 More information here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thanks
Using the image box widget is not really a solution as this is still column based. So adding a few images into a widget will force all the images to be in a tight column.
What I am trying to achieve is have 100% width of the content, not just a column, or 3. Like have an entire row.
Attached is a screenshot of the solution with image widget.
Hi,
You could try with a different footer template that uses a full row – https://www.screencast.com/t/myhgOTDP and add an image box widget and other content like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/EiLJqjtsHe with this result – https://www.screencast.com/t/nmerHvcA0pTo it now uses the full width of the content – https://www.screencast.com/t/nB6VVPZyP
Thanks
