Assigning global cloud template for all posts

We have been using a single cloud template for all of our posts, but we’d like to use an alternate template for some of our posts in which we’re including the modified date as well as the published date. In order to achieve this, I duplicated the cloud template we’ve been using, and then renamed both of them so we could distinguish between them.

The problem we are having is that most, but not all, of the posts are showing that they are using the newly duplicated template, not the original one. even though the original one is set to Global. I have tried various ways to “force” every post to use the global template but nothing seems to work, almost every post is using the newly duplicated template. The only way I could fix this was to delete the new template, which forced all posts to use the ortginal one since it’s now the only one remaining.

Is there some way, even if it involves using some custom function, to “force” every post to use a specific cloud template? I assumed just setting one to “Global” would do that, but it doesn’t. Or maybe I am not understanding how the global assignment works?

Hello!

Please check this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
Make sure you do not use the default templates: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-default-templates/
If the settings are done correctly, then there could be a plugin conflict or a caching issue.

Thank you!
