Hi,
When the Big Slide shows a post belonging to a category shown in a block right below the slider, the same post is unesthetically duplicated (shown twice) on the front page. An example is shown below:
Apparently, there is no “creative” solution that would hide the post from the block below while it is being displayed in the Big Slide – other than changing the layout of the page. If there is, please let me know. 🙂
Hello,
There are actually 2 solutions for this in our theme. The first one is the offset feature. If you filter both elements with the same category or with latest posts, then both will grab the same posts. For this you can use the offset feature: https://forum.tagdiv.com/offset-feature/
If the filtering is more complex and posts belong to multiple categories then you can avoid duplication using this option: https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/. Please note that the unique articles will not work with pagination.
Thank you!
Thanks Bogdan!
I selected the “unique articles” feature (because the Big Slide shows posts from several categories, one of which is the block’s category).
It works – except when one selects “Show more articles” in the block. When one does that, posts shown in the block are duplicated:
What might cause this?
Hi Catalin,
It is enabled now. Could you have a look right away so I could disable it if we don’t get it to work correctly?
Please go to
and then scroll to the end of the section under the Big Slide entitled “Kaleidoskooppi – Näkökulmien kirjoa”, and then click “Aiempia artikkeleita” (=previous articles).
Could this be some paging issue?
Hello vesa,
Unfortunately, as you can see in our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/ the unique articles are not working for infinite load and load more button pagination, sorry! The only solution would be to use different category or you can use offset setting.
Thank you for the message and sorry for the inconvenience!
Thanks for checking, Catalin.
Actually, I noticed that after loading more articles, only three are duplicated in the block.
Those are the last three posts shown before “Aiempia artikkeleita” (=previous articles) is clicked.
All other posts in the block are shown only once. So it is working… with three exceptions. (Why are the last three duplicated? I wonder.)

Hello Vesa,
I do not know, you have to inspect it closer your website and try to identify what you want to know. As I said you above, this kind of feature do not work as properly with this type of pagination, sorry! If you want you can change the type of pagination from the panel, for best results.
Thank you for your understanding!
