Hello,
Background color of the Demo Video Homepage on my site is white around Big Grid 6 instead of black (Extra class – import_video_slider_bg?).
It’s also white around Ad Box, while should be grey as on your demo site.
Any ideas what could be the possible reason?
Regards,
David
Hi,
Hi,
It seems the demo has not installed properly. It should look and have the same style as the demo. In this case the style and classes that are specific to the demo are not loaded. Please uninstall it and install it again

Also check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide, if necessary

Thanks
Hi Simon,
Thank you for your reply. I did everything according you recommendations:
The result is the same:
Homepage Video, Default Demo
What’s interesting, the other demo templates with dark background (i’ve tested “Car Enthusiast” and “Video News”) work fine!
Cheers,
David
Hi,
Maybe this is just a misunderstanding. I am assuming that you are using the demo Video page template form Visual composer – https://www.screencast.com/t/doU04d0vF
If that is the case, the page will look normally, no demo style will be loaded. To achieve the same look, you need to install the demo, or style the elements yourself similarly to the demo style. For example a background can be set for the Big Grid like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/DCTgRaar6aCa
– https://www.screencast.com/t/XSVcYYpe6Xbb
Installing the demo will provide the homepage and the custom styling, as well as it’s own settings in the theme panel.
Please correct me if I misunderstand.
Thanks
Hi Simon,
Actually, I didn’t load any template, just editing “homepage-video” page:
Menu > Homepages > Homepage-Video
I just made suggested changes in Visual Composer and yes, background now has changed! But gap between menu and the first block still remains white:
Cheers,
David
Hi,
You can achieve that like this for example – https://www.screencast.com/t/cqSJUSfIo
By setting a negative top margin property on the row and a top padding like shown, the result will be just like in the demo – https://www.screencast.com/t/d96kYr2839X
Thanks
