Breadcrumbs on custom content type

Hi folks!

I have a custom content type, Bars & Restaurants (among others) and have used the CPT and Taxonomy settings to get breadcrumbs working perfectly on the single view.

However, when you click into any of the categories, or the tags, the breadcrumbs revert to “Home > [Category Name]” or “Home > [Tag Name]” instead of showing the custom content type in the breadcrumb path.

It seems what is needed is the ability to set the breadcrumb taxonomy on a breadcrumb taxonomy just like on a custom content type.

Is there a way, even if I have to edit code, to force custom taxonomies and custom tags to use a specific breadcrumb taxonomy?

Hi,

All the theme options regarding custom post types at the moment, are mentioned in this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-post-type-support/
There might be more options added in future theme updates, but I cannot say for sure. I believe it would not be say to modify the functionality in this matter.

Thanks, Simion. I was able to solve this problem by making Bars & Restaurants the top-level category in the custom taxonomy and everything else subordinate to it.
