I’m testing the latest version (8.2) and I get a problem with Gzip compression.
Compression is enabled on my server (Litespeed), but testing on GTmetrix and on many GZIP online check,
the compression looks disabled.
If I change theme (Twentyseventeen), compression looks working fine.

That should not be a problem, if everything is set and configured correctly. For example the theme live demo uses a setup like this in the htaccess file

You could ask your hosting provider to take a look in the matter, or do it yourself if needed. More useful information here

I did all you suggested, but GZIP compression still looks disable.
I have spoken to my server’s managers and they confirmed that GZIP compression is enabled and actived on the server.
The strange thing is if I change theme, GZIP looks enabled (GTmetrix).

Then it should work, this is unusual. If it is active it should compress the resources. After testing the website check which resources it mentions that need compressing. Then double check the settings or htaccess file code to see if these are affected by the configuration.
