I’ve seen lots of queries posted here from people having trouble with Smart Lists since WordPress 5.5 rolled out. We’re currently unable to update WordPress as it breaks a major part of our site: Smart Lists make up a huge amount of our content. I’m also uncomfortable running on an outdated version of WP for an extended period of time – we’re all aware it can pose a security risk.
So I’m wondering if you can provide an update as to how fixing this issue is coming along? I imagine that I’m not alone in using Newspaper theme primarily for its excellent multi-page list support. But with this completely broken at the moment, it’s an issue. Please keep us updated and provide information as to when this issue may be fixed.

We already provide a fix for smart list problem and this will be add in coming update too.
To fix this problem with smart list you need to replace the content from this file path wp-content/themes/Newspaper/functions.php with this code
For mobile theme you need to add this code in the functions.php that is responsible for mobile theme -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/functions.php -> https://i.imgur.com/2QIcCte.png

Thanks for your reply. I did this – it does not work. I’ve also seen responses from other people stating the same fix didn’t work for them, either. So it’s clearly not a fix at all.
For reference I’m using a cloud custom smart list template set on ‘sm4’. I’m testing on a staging site right now, but you can see for yourself here: https://www.staging2.gamespew.com/2020/08/best-online-co-op-games-on-ps4/
