I want to create a duplicate of the video template. I want to have a video with a thumbnail template and a video without a thumbnail template. Thats all.

You should use a cloud single post template in order to be able to edit it with the tagdiv Composer.
The Single Post Featured Image shortcode will display the video as in your screenshot. But the Single Post BG Featured Image shortcode displays the image from the video.

I am sorry but I fail to understand your idea. You mentioned “as in your screenshot”, what screenshot are you talking about? My point is – is it possible to add an extra format in the format dropdown which would display a thumbnail in the post itself but it would add the play button mark on top of it?

Let the video format there, add a link from youtube as a video and it will automatically add a thumbnail of your video. Use the Single Post BG Featured Image shortcode from the tagdiv Composer while you edit the single post template.
