Hello,
after playing around with Custom Post Type UI and relating WP Core categories with a Custom Post Type, I cannot upload anymore an image for a specific category over Posts->Categories. I can upload images over CPT->Categories, but they are not shown if I want to display them with the subcategories shortcode on a category page. What can I do?

Hi,
You can set category images in the theme panel for each category in part -> https://i.imgur.com/hj9E9sd.png. Those can be displayed on the Category Background Image element (on categories).

thank you for your answer but I think there is a bug with the theme. As you can see here https://ibb.co/jw28Qfj if I try to upload a category image from Posts–>Category (Beiträge–>Kategorien), I cannot choose a color and there is no upload field for an image. If I do the same from Custom Post Type–>Category (Übungen–>Kategorien) as you can see here https://ibb.co/QcXFRkW I can choose a color and there is an upload button, but these images are not shown in the subcategory shortcode.
If I set the category image like you mentioned before from the control panel the image is shown correctly in the subcategories shortcode but I see it also in the top left corner and I cannot remove it in the visual composer…

There is a little difference because it applies to the categories of posts, and for CPT it is implemented differently.

Hi,
now It works fine. I removed the images from CPT->Categories and uploaded them in the theme panel. You should remove the possibility to upload images from CPT->Categories, if Categories are assigned to a CPT otherwise it comes to an error displaying the images in the theme.
