I have Newspaper v6.6.5 installed in my WP v4.6.3. I have noticed that each time that it happens to edit the template settings in options table in DB, then template settings reset. I lose all settings. It doesn’t matter even if nothing has been changed: I just open the record of the template settings, copy paste the json for, let’s say safe keeping, click Save and that’s it: everything is lost.
Now, i have also noticed settings reset only after have I refreshed the site. Somehow, there must be a line of code in WP/Newspaper template that reset the settings should someone have modified the db record.
Any help? it’s really annoying and frustating, I have the json in my notepad and I can’t just copy paste it back in the options record, it gets lost by the time I refresh the page.
Also, import settings do NOT work.

We have not encountered this issue before but you should update your theme to newspaper 7 at least as we cannot guarantee newspaper 6’s functionality with the latest plugin versions and the recent WP versions. Please use this guide to update: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
