It is not as wide as the demo I installed and I’m looking at other sites running this theme, they are also wider. I like the wider look, but cannot get it. Can you please help?

I wish you would give me more information. I went to my home page and clicked on row and set it to stretch to 1200. It does nothing. I can stretch the header and footers fine, but not the content. Also, this really does help explain how I can stretch my internal pages. I can’t go to each and every page and do this. Can you please explain? I see lots of sites with a wider content area, I’d just like to know how to do it too.

If you are referring to your posts, please notice that you need to create a post template in Wide Mode (using the Stretch ROW) with TD Composer from Cloud Template Library and then, set this template for all of your posts. I’ve got Cloud Template installed, but there are hundreds of templates to choose from. I just want my page size (on all pages) to be wider. What template would I need to choose to get this to work? The documentation you have sent me to does not answer my question which is just to make my site wider. I would really appreciate a full answer to this. I have to wait 24 hours between each time I ask a question which means I’m on 72 hours just to do something that would be incredibly simple with most themes.

Unfortunately, please notice that the only way for achieving the wide website is to edit your templates, using the TD Composer and stretch all of the ROWs when you are using some elements. Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such a general functionality or a simple button like (normal website or wide website). You need to edit each template and make it be wide if you want to achieve good results. Notice that’s not a hard task. For example, for your homepage, you have to edit it with TD Composer and stretch the rows and for your post pages, you need to import from Cloud Template a single post template, customize it as you wish with TD Composer and then, apply it for the whole of your posts. It’s not necessary to edit each post page. That’s the Cloud Library functionality.

I am trying this. I got a single post template and had to delete most of it as I just spent a lot of time getting everything perfect with the default templates and don’t want most of what is on that template. So now even with that, the page does not look right. It has a new title which is not in the right spot, the sidebar no longer shows up, and all the font is different. There are many other issues with it as well. It’s just a completely different template and I don’t know how to re-do the whole thing.
Is there anyway to just get the actual default template from somewhere and then adjust the width on that one? It sure seems like it’d be a lot easier than going through this process which I cannot seem to get to work. Or is there a blank template from the cloud library?
Ok so there is one that’s a blank single post template that I’ve tried and it’s completely blank. I would have to go in and put all these components into it which I do not understand how to do. Can you explain how to add in a column so I can have the post content on one side and then whichever sidebar I’m using as the default show up on the other? I cannot even get a good start without that.
Alternately, is there anyway to just get the actual default template that my site is already making the posts from and then adjust the width on that one? That’s the only thing I want changed on it. It should be somewhere on my server. It would be much easier than having to re-create the entire template by hand.

The only option for achieving a full width single template is to use Cloud Library functionality. Unfortunately,e, the theme does not have any such an option that replicates the exaclty default post template. Ok, I have spent several hours on this and so have the post pages wider.
Now I’m noticing I will have to create new category pages (and it looks like a new template for each category). I’ve started this process and have this so far: https://businessbolts.com/reviews
It’s the same as my old template except the big grid will not stretch. How can I get this to stretch? The row is set for stretch 1200 like all the other rows, but it will not get wider.

Please notice that all of the simple Big Grids have a fixed width and all of these cannot be stretched. Only Big Grid full can be stretched in ROW. As a quick fix, you can try using the code below and change the width fix to auto.

Here’s another issue with this … all just to change the width of the theme.
When you make a template then apply it, is there a way for the cloud template to just pull the right category into the grids? It doesn’t seem like there is. So for the categories I was starting to make a new category page for each category. This is really labor intensive.
The problem is that I have the same issue for the tag pages except I can’t find a way to assign a new tag page to a each tag. Again, this would be labor intensive. But since the tag template is assigned for all the tag pages, there’s no way to do it. Please let me know if there’s a work around for this. I do need each tag page to pull from only the tag filters, otherwise each tag page will be exactly the same. hopefully I’m missing something and there’s a way to do this.

If there’s no way to get the tag pages to be a bigger width and still pull the right posts for the tag then that means your demo cannot be duplicated without coding. Do you know how messed up that is to show a demo that we cannot duplicate???
Here’s what I’m saying … this page seems to be a TAG page:

It’s wide so there must be a cloud template used here which is fine. But then here’s a different cloud page:

I see no way to get this effect. It seems I either need to use the default tag page which means it won’t be wide or I need to use a cloud template which all the posts will be the same on every TAG page because I’ll have to use the same one for each. Or I can get some coding done just to make the theme look like the demo?
I can’t believe there’s no easy way to make the theme look like the demo. Please let me know if this is true.

The width of both these templates is the default theme width, they do not use cloud templates. Only cloud templates can be created/edited with the composer

In these you can stretch the rows if you want to have an even wider design, an example

A category template can be set for each category if you want to, a tag template can only be used in general, not per tag.
To display the posts in a category template use category grids and loop elements, this way you can apply the template to multiple categories

The loop element can also be used in a tag template. Loops will show dynamic content, so for example if you add a loop element in a tag cloud template, it will always show the proper content regardless of the tag currently viewed, it will adapt. This is opposite to using normal grids and blocks which require filtering. A filtered block or grid will always show the same content.
Note that if you want wider content in pages you will have to create each page in the composer with this in mind. A general width setting does not exist.
So while for posts, categories, tags etc you can apply cloud templates, pages will each have to be designed as needed.

I have played around with this for hours. The default demo theme is very narrow. It does not look like your default demo as advertised. I have been told my support staff several times that in order to make it look like the demo you show (with the wider width), that I have to use the cloud templates. So I’ve got several set up, here’s one: https://businessbolts.com/reviews
This is set up to be wider which is what I want and like your default demo. The problem for me is that I CANNOT use that new cloud template for all my categories. There’s a problem with the filter. If I leave it set on ‘all categories’ then it each of my category pages displays the same category. If I set the filter for ‘reviews’ like I’ve done on this one then all my category pages show the reviews articles. It’s nuts. So I thought I had to create a new category cloud template for each category. If this is not true then please let me know how to do this.
The problem then is that since there’s no way to assign different tag pages for each tag now I can either just use the default tag template (which isn’t wide) or I can have all my tag pages show the exact same posts. Obviously that’s no good. The theme should be showing the right posts per tag page.
Can you please help explain this?

What exactly does not look as in the demo? Please let me know and we will investigate, what demo did you install and what does not look as in the demo after installing it. The default demo does not use any cloud library templates. It uses default templates only.
In the example you provided you use a big grid 5 and below it a block 4. So this template is not suited to be applied for multiple categories. Please use category grids and loops as I mentioned above. Then the template can be applied to all categories and there will be no problem.
Normal blocks and grids will always show the same content according to their filtering. Category grids and loops will show the proper content for each category. Edit that template and instead of the big grid 5 use a category grid, below it use a loop. That would be all there is to it.
For the tags only one template can be set, in general. You can use a loop element in the tag template as the main content, with a sidebar containing a block sorted by latest for example, like these tag template examples https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/load/Tag
If you preview and edit one of those templates you can see that a loop element is used

The loop doesn’t require any filtering, it will do it automatically depending on what is currently viewed. So that same loop can display for example posts that have the tag “reviews” when that tag page is accessed, or posts with the tag “wordpress” when that tag page is accessed.
