Is there anyway to change the size of the thumbnails shown on the front page and category pages?
Currently it is too squarish, and cuts away parts of the images.

Hi there, I have seen changed to a module with thumbnail size which is closer to what I had on my former theme.
Can I make a suggestion? Currently none of the thumbnail size is friendly when an article is pasted on Facebook. Some parts of the image will be cut off.
Please consider having the article featured images and thumbnails in the ratio of 62:35.

The theme uses a center-top cropping system, this is considered to be the most suited for all cases in general

The thumbnails will be created automatically from the featured images you use for posts, the sizes are predefined for all modules, in the theme files.
You can use the Yoast SEO plugin for sharing customization, the theme does not have any options in this regard

Is there a way to change the default thumbnail size by modifying one of the theme files? Currently, I’m using module 1 which I’ve noticed displays thumbnails in 324 x 160. I used to create thumbnails that were 324 x 198 and I don’t want to remake the thumbnails for the Newspaper theme.

The most recommended method and also guaranteed to work is to regenerate the thumbnails

This process will recreate thumbnails from the featured images.
The thumbnails are defined in this theme file if you want to change how future thumbnails will be created, in the code

You will have to modify the module used as well, each module uses one of those thumbnails

There will probably be need for additional CSS styling for the module, as other elements displayed on it depend on the current thumbnail size for positioning margins, padding etc.
