We built four different pages months ago, using variations of the shortcode shown below, and injected the codes into the pages using the Column text block in the Composer.

For the last few weeks, we’ve been trying to update these, either through new pages or by changing the shortcodes in the old pages. Neither way works. For existing pages displaying the shortcode, when we open the Column Text block to edit the shortcode, it doesn’t show up at all. If we try adding a new Column Text block, it doesn’t register the shortcode, in fact nothing we type into it works.
Clearly something is conflicting somewhere. We’ve disabled all plugins to see, but no success. Please advise on how we can fix this without resorting to removing the pages, which are now outdated.

We’re using the Timelines plugin shortcode.
WP up to date, latest version, as is the TAGDIV version. Updating recently made no difference to the issue. Template is BlockChain Pro.
We’ve figured out how to change the shortcode by using the standard WordPress page editor, but you clearly have an issue here. We cannot place any new shortcodes on new pages without the Column Text box being functional.

I think you will have a 403 or 404 error, so please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wp-editor-for-text-with-title-and-column-text-not-updating-content/ and try the suggestions. Also, please check the cache, clear/purge all cache.

Cloudflare is one of the most popular platforms in the market, and if one of its most used plugins conflict with your template, shouldn’t you look to fix this? I love the template and we use it across many sites, and for the most part, its very stable and well supported. I’d appreciate it if you could add this to your todo list for the next update. It was in fact Rocket loader that had disabled the functionality.

I think that you will not edit every day the shortcodes, so, you can disable that option only when you edit.

That’s funny. It’s like me selling me a car with a door that doesn’t work, and telling me its okay, I wont use it all the time. If your company is okay selling a product with known faults and annoying your customers, who then spend hours fault finding, go for it and good luck with that.

I’m sorry, but this error depends on how the plugin is configured. Our team investigated, but it is possible that they have not discovered all the cases with each setting or other plugins. You can try to exclude the wp-admin.php file and check if the problem persists.
