concerns about theme

Hi,

So I am now on the edge of the bridge about to dump the theme and here is why… but I am reaching out to see if there is anything we can do

1: When we got this theme, we were excited about it because it promised super speed, it was neat, very modern and just really everything you dreamed of

2: After getting the theme, we are kind of finding out that we need to do a lot more work to make it happen… and by a lot more work I mean it is not really a fixed set of settings, meaning we have to keep trying and trying and trying and trying

so here is my dilema

Look at this stats

Our old theme wasn’t that bad, we just wanted something more modern and better, so we switched to this
from day one of switching our bounce rate shoot through the roof , our traffic is dropping and as of yesterday even started getting issues with lazy loads where images no longer apearing

Google speed is even worst than before

We have switched to mobile site, that alone has caused confusion with our tagging on Google and I’m still yet to find out how to solve that as its throwing these errors

The mobile theme seems limited, no options to organise home page even with category links at least or something… its just plain and ok… lets say we want it to be faster, but I dont see it doing anything for our stats

============

Bottom line… I am now reaching out to the support and possibly members to guide me, reassure me with suggestions as its just not looking good

I didn’t have to work this hard with our old theme

Here is more screenshots of my google analytics before and after I switched themes

see bounce rate and page views how pageviews significantly dropped as bounce rate shot through the roof

I am really waiting for concrete views from the theme creators

Is this being ignored as I see a lot of new replies?

No, it is not being ignored, it is just that we answer from oldest to newest and if you keep posting the topic will be newer. It is recommended for a faster reply to open one topic and stop posting until you get a reply. Posting will simply delay your answer.
OK, to the matter at hand.
The bounce rat has nothing to do with themes. It has but it does not matter which theme. When you switch themes, this will happen no matter the theme used but it will stabilize again shortly.
As for the page speed please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Thank you!

Unfortunately it does

especially that it is a drastic change exactly the same day

I saw some people had some similar issues with the versions of the theme, that when they switched to older version they had their site stabilized. I was hoping that you would have addressed the issues but looks like the same old reply and deflecting any more considerations.

The theme has something going on and its not the first theme we switched and never had this issue, I just didn’t like the theme so got yours and the same day I switched stats went backward. I really hope you look at this as it really its an issue and I know another big site like hours who was using yours had to swtch away … punch news was using yours and they had to leave for these same issue, and I also know another who is considering the same I’ll send you the url if you want

INCLUDING THE FACT THAT SO MANY USERS IN THE SAME DAY HAVE HAD THEIR IMAGES STOP LOADING AND YOU GUYS ARE ONLY SUGGESTING TO DISABLE PLUGINS

I have lost confidence

Hello,

Well since we are not seeing any of these issue on our end, what are we to test? The image issue is most likely a plugin update that made a certain plugin not work with the theme anymore and broke the theme js. We are not seeing any bounce rate issues and no disappearing images. People have automatic updates set. Plugins get updated. The code gets changed. This will happen with all themes out there. Not all plugins are compatible with premium themes.
If you are not satisfied with our theme we will be able to provide a refund so you can choose another theme that best fits your project.

Thank you!

Ecase, You should look at your analytics closely. You may have had your Analytics code twice in the old theme. That would account for the drastic change in both visitors and bounce rate.

@kindle4 I’ve done that before. Thought I had been really clever and had managed to improve site performance dramatically. Took me about a fortnight to realise I’d been an idiot!
