Content Blocks Not Updating

On our homepage, we have content blocks on the left side going down.

The main content block (sorted by featured categroy) is working great.

The “MORE LOCAL NEWS” content block is working great.

However, the other blocks are not showing the latest stories/posts. When I go into edit the page, they show correctly and then when I hit “save” they don’t show the most recent ones.

Look at Entertainment category in the edit page:

Now, look at it on the site:

Basically, many of the content blocks on the homepage are showing old content and not the latest posts as selected in the edit page. Any help?

Look at the obituary stories on the homepage at bottom:

Homepage – scroll down to see obits on homepage block at bottom.

Now look at them on the category page: Obit Page with most recent ones

How do I get the most recent stories/posts to show up on the homepage – all my settings are correct and I cleared all the site cache. What’s wrong?

Another example.

See entertainment category on site (has old stories, not recent? https://ibb.co/P5rkjbQ

Now see it in edit mode with most updated stories: https://ibb.co/T2qnvZB

Hi,

This sounds like a caching issue. You can check if is a plugin conflict by checking only with the theme plugins enabled. But since you say when you are logged was working correctly, then it can also be a cache or object cache https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/.
Please let me know what plugin for the cache you have and the server.

Thank you!

We are using LiteSpeed Cache v5.4.

There is a setting for object cache that can be on or off. When I modify that setting, the new articles are not showing up in the content blocks on the homepage. It’s odd, because some content blocks show the most recent content (ex. More Local News and Real Estate). But, the content blocks below the first two, are not showing the latest stories (ex. Entertainment, Community, Obituaries). All have the same settings. Why would some work but the other content blocks be showing old stories from 1-2 months ago?

Hi,

Please edit the cloud template with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/j8YvKks.png click on the block and remove the offset -> https://i.imgur.com/dJ0iFQu.png let that field empty.

Thank you!

I tried removing the offset (leaving it empty) and it did not change anything.

Please look at homepage to see how the first two blocks after the homepage block have recent stories. But, Community, Obituaries, etc. have articles from a long time ago. Any other things to try?

What was the solution for this?

I have the same issue with Litespeed cache – some content blocks not updating, others are updating

When in TDComposer they show as updated, but after saving they show older posts. Offset is blank and they are sorted as Latest by Category.

Thank you

Hi,

Please delete the object cache file https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/ and check after.

Thank you!

Hi Anamaria

Have checked cache plugin Litespeed OC is off –

Host checked too there’s no other OC at their end – and they added:

‘I’ve cleared the .htaccess file of any Litespeed cache entries as sometimes they get stuck and still cause “cached” pages. If you want to try again and see if that helps.

If it doesn’t you may need to refer back to the theme dev to see if they have further suggestions.’

None of that worked in this case –
