Noob question here.
But no matter what changes I made, it would only save the header whenever I clicked save, my work isn’t reflected in Previews either. I’ve tried using the template but it would fail to load every time. Help please?

Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
