Creating Table of Content on Sidebar?

Is there a way to build a navigation on the sidebar for the page? Like a table of contents on the side? And those will link directly to headers or title (or section) of the current page?

Similiar to bootstrap: http://getbootstrap.com/css/

There’s navigation on the side, and the content is all in the same page. Is this possible?

Thanks!

Hello andiruleu,

You can do it by creating a custom sidebar https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/ and a custom menu from appearance->menus. The you can ad a Custom menu element to your sidebar: http://screencast.com/t/cx0wuLkV
The result: http://screencast.com/t/CfiUYYkWsktq

Thank you!

Awesome! I think I made it work!

Would it be possible to make the sidebar be fixed with when you scroll? So when you scroll deep down the page, the sidebar will be within the page viewing when you scroll? like “fixed scrolling”? Not sure the exact terms…

Hello andiruleu,

You can do that by making the sidebar ‘smart’. You have to add the td-ss-row class to the row which contains the sidebar in visual composer: http://screencast.com/t/akddg5Q86H
You can read more about smart sidebars in our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/

Thanks.
