Please note that Disqus is not a tested plugin and from what we have seen on other users trying to adapt features from Disqus in Newspaper Theme but unfortunately this takes a lot of custom work which at the moment is not covered by the support at the moment: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
