Does slider revolution decrease the website speed too much?

Hello Guys

I am wondering if the slider revolution decreases website speed too much. It is an awesome slider but some developers say that do not use it because it is decreasing website speed. Is there anyone here who uses slider revolution? Do you have any codes for this slider not to affect speed too much? One more thing, what do you think about using slider on top in a news blog?

Thanks…

Slider Revolution and pretty much any slider will be slower than an equivalent hero image or the TagDiv type big image post grid.

And, they have lower click through rate. That’s why you don’t see them used a lot on news sites. Sliders are actually more popular being used to sell themes than actually being used in real situations.

You can probably tell I don’t like them, on news sites or the business sites I work with.

Hello,

If your site is optimized for page speed properly, the difference will not be very impacting on the loading speed. Please use this guide if you do plan on using sliders: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Thank you!
