I installed the racing theme with sample data. I changed the single post template to “template 8” and then the sidebar goes missing.
I want to:
1) Add the side bar back in – I tried to use the widgets in the widgets area but the style doesn’t match the original sample data side bar
2) I want to get ride of the word “SHOP” at the top of the header menu.
3) I want to get rid of the search icon at the top of the header menu (mobile)
Please provide instructions on how to do these 3 things.
Thanks
Hello !
1. To insert a new Row you will have to edit the existing Row Layout as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/l7AtnRxj1puI
2. To get rid of the SHOP button you will have to go into Theme Panel – Multi Purpose and delete the content of the extra button as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/FppWDZ2k
3. The Search option can be disabled from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/aMpTBsllv
I hope this was helpfull !
Thank you !
Hello !
If you go into your post you should be able to see this option: https://www.screencast.com/t/3xDFtUxoug2 That will allow you to edit your template using the tagDiv Composer.
Let me know how this went !
Thank you !
Hi,

Please help

Hello !
If you are using a single post template from the cloud library you can add a new block of what kind you like instead of the old one and set the filters so it can contain only related articles from a tag or category ( option 1 ) : https://www.screencast.com/t/Oj8wE0fhm7
Or you can add a related articles element wich will fit the template you’ve selected and no need to edit it ( Option 2 )
I hope this was helpfull !
Thank you !
Hi, I am using “Style 8” under:
layout settings -> post settings -> default site template (site wide) -> Style 8
There is no option for me to edit this template using the TD composer. How can I edit the template? I have tried to go to the post and click on “edit template” from the top menu bar but I get the message:
“Please select tagDiv Builder Template from the theme panel or set a default template. The current page/post uses a template that is not editable.”
Please Help
Thanks
Hello !
In order to have those features you will have to go into your Cloud Templates and select a single post template as you want, after you set that up you will be able to edit the template using the composer. Take a look here: https://tagdiv.com/customize-articles-with-single-post-templates/
Thank you !
Hi, I went through the template library but didn’t find one that matches “style 8” from:
layout settings -> post settings -> default site template (site wide) -> Style 8
I am looking for a template that can have the featured image as the entire background. If there is no template that can do this, please provide instructions on how to do this in the TD composer.
If you want an example of what I am looking for. Go to:
layout settings -> post settings -> default site template (site wide) -> Style 8
then click on preview. you should see the feature image set to fill the background.
Thanks
Hello !
In the cloud library there is this Single post template 4 wich is exactly like default post template 8. Import that and you will be able to edit it using the tagDiv Composer just like the homepage.
Here are the steps on how to implement it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
I hope this helped you !
Thank you !
Hi, I imported “single post template 4” and trying to edit it to match “default post template 8”.
The “single post template 4” does NOT use the featured image as the background like “default post template 8”.
“Single post template 4″ only shows the featured image up top. I want the background look like”default post template 8” where the background is featured image.
Please provide instructions on how to to this
Thanks
Hello !
Unfortunately this option cannot be modified as i’ve tried to reproduce it. I’m sorry for this issue !
If you are willing to make that compromise you could achieve almost everything you wanted at the begining
I’m sorry for the inconvenience!
Let me know how can I help you in the future !
Thank you !
