Embed Video shows up twice

Hi,

I am trying to make a video post and when I’m embedding the video in the article it shows up twice. How to fix this?

Hi,

Maybe you are setting the video as featured and also entering it in the post content. That would be why it appears twice, once as featured and once in the post. Try setting the video link only in the featured video field

Other then that there would be no reason for it to display twice. If this is how you created it already, please provide a link to such a post so we can take a look.

I managed to fix this issue by adding the url and not the embed code. However, it would be nice if the link didn’t display as text above the video. Any idea how to remove that?

The URL is sufficient for embedding videos in most cases. It certainly is more than enough for YouTube videos

This is default WordPress capability, the theme will not influence the embedding process

So simply paste the link once in the post content and there would be no problem.
