I did as instructed for the Envato Market wordpress plugin to update Newspaper to 8.5.1 and it does nothing. It shows that an Update is available, but when I click it nothing happens.
I absolutely love the Newspaper theme, but updating is not easy! At all.
Any help would be great. I don’t want to loose all my hard work trying some crazy way. Anybody know an easy, SAFE way to update?

That plugin often does not work. Ftp is best method as you can do safe backup of site same time.

The theme panel settings and custom code will not be lost, however it is always better to make a full backup just in case.
