Everything going fine until today about instagram images stop apearing in the widget, appears this error message
Instagram data error: Instagram data is not set, plese check the ID
But I change the account and apear the same error, and those instagram accounts I’ve tried are online everything fine.
So no idea what is happeing, some help?
Same here! Also my Social Sidebar Widget counts 0 Followers on Insta.
Perhaps Instagram changed there API?
Indeed it seems there were some changes on their part which caused all Instagram relates elements to not function. I will pass this along to the developer team and they will investigate the issue.
The exact same here ! No Instagram feed displaying, error message in red, even though NOTHING changed in the Newspaper settings. I disabled the Instagram footer for the moment because it looks highly unprofessional but please keep us posted about progress of the fix ! Thanks !
also the API weather on top is gone + social media icons on sidebar… facebook twitter? :/

I have checked top bar and widget and they are both working. Try changing the API key and make sure you use valid locations. The social counter works as well (except Instagram)

The error can only be seen when logged in. Logged out, it displays a text link to your account. Hopefully a fix will be available soon.

Please edit the td_instagram.php file from the theme files

Remove all the code inside that file and paste this one

This should fix the Instagram widget issues, please try it and let us know. Clear the cache and CDN files if needed after editing the file.

Good Job Simon, this solutions works for the Insta-Pictures in the Footer.
Unfortunately the Sidebar Widget Counter still shows 0 Followers.
For whatever reason, this is not working for my Instagram username. If I change it to another in the theme settings then it works. Then if I change it back to my name then it stops working again. Cache and transients cleared… Whats going on?

Thank you, Alastair. I’ve tried to replace the PHP file with the old code and no images are loading, not even the old ones. Fingers crossed for a solution!

Both these fixes caused by Instagram changing their code, will be included in the next theme update. But for the moment you can make these fixes and there will be no more problems.

@sbconle The Instagram in the footer is working form what I can see, note that is is not a live widget. There will be a delay for the images to be synchronized and displayed. This is meant to reduce the number of request to Instagram.
