Error message when uploading images: HTTP error.

Hi,

I seem not to be able to upload images to my site if they are over ~600kb. Get HTTP error.
I am running Newspaper 9.1
I have tried all kinds of formats and sizes. I have also tried compressing images with TinyPNG.
I have removed large demo photos from the library in case their size prevented an upload – no success.

The images I can upload have too low quality and look terrible on the site. This is a very serious problem for me.
I would be extremely grateful for some assistance on how to proceed.

Please make sure that the theme system status is configured as mentioned in the requirements guide. Please follow the guide carefully

I had that same issue before I updated my PHP to 7.0. As soon as I did that I no longer received the upload issue.

Upgrade your website php version to 7
