I am trying to upload the theme as per the video however I keep getting the same error message (above) with the option to try again. When I try again, it happens again.
I am in a cycle of it not working.

Okay – I have done all of that but nothing is working. I have removed all but the WordPress Standard themes and deactivated all of the plugins. The same error message is still there.
Getting frustrated as I have never had a theme cause this many issues.
Please help.

Unfortunately this is a wordpress issue not a theme issue. This happens with all themes not just our own. Please make sure wordpress is functional before applying the theme. This is not a theme related issue.
Please try to install the theme using FTP if wordpress cannot install the theme automatically: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Okay – I have removed WordPress from the site, reinstalled it and then uploaded the theme via FTP and it is still not there. I really need your help to fix this as I don’t want to be requesting a refund for this.
To date, I have removed all content, plugins and even WordPress from my site to install the theme and:
(a) if I upload via WordPress, I get the “please try again” error message
(b) if I upload via FTP, it appears in FTP but not in WordPress
You have to unzip the theme only folder on your local hard drive (open it up, make sure it’s the theme!), not the large zip file of everything.
Upload the properly unzipped newspaper theme folder, via FTP, to
/yoursite/wp-content/themes/
login to WordPress and the theme will be there.
If you don’t see the theme on the appearance > themes page then you have not uploaded it correctly.
