"Failure to open" error messages

For the last week, I’ve had the following error messages appear when I’ve logged on in Firefox and Google Chrome to upload fresh content:

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘D:\Hosting\x5c13402036\html\x5cwp-content\x5cthemes/Newspaper/images/pagebuilder/proxy.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.;C:\php\pear’) in D:\Hosting\13402036\html\wp-config.php on line 5

I don’t know what these are or how to fix them, but they are preventing me from updating my site. Started 10-12-2016. Worked fine the previous week (10-06-2016).

The site works fine. Hosting fees are paid up to date.

Any ideas?

Well, if you look at line 5 of your wp-config file, what’s there?

Perhaps a link to your dbase or directory no longer there, old caching setup, etc.?

If so maybe your “dbase is going away” — or trying to write to folder not actually there anymore?

If you already looked at your wp-config.php file…..

a) check system status in theme panel
b) check error logs on your hosting setup/account
c) increase default memory for WP, if not already done so in wp-config.php
d) optimize your dbase with wp-optimize

(etc.)

@JimReser the wp-config.php is a core file from WordPress and the theme don’t make any changes in it. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge the cdn files if you’re suing then test the site again.

OK, all probably good advice. But. The error message refers to a problem on line 5 of a file that is not on my computer in a drive I don’t have. I believe it is on my hosting company server. “Clearing the cache” sounds good, but I don’t know how to do this. “Purging cdn files” seems straightforward. Also don’t know how to do that. My web site designer is struggling with this same issue on another wordpress-themed site (not Newspaper) and we believe it came about as a result of the recent WordPress update. Is there a Newspaper update I should have that will resolve this issue? The site is http://cortezcoffeebreak.com .
