Fatal error – out of memory (despite having sufficient WP memory limit)

When clicking on single posts while being logged into WP, I always get a fatal error like the one below or HTTP error 500. This happens for all posts on the site, but only while being logged into WP. In other browsers where the user is not logged in, everything works fine.
Note: I had alread increased the WP memory limit to 1GB, so this should not pose any limitation.

What is your PHP memory limit set to?
