I have been trying to update to the new 3.1 for days now and get this error –Fatal error: Call to undefined function vc_map_get_attributes() in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas03_data01/87/2422587/html/wp-content/themes/Archive-1/vc_templates/vc_row.php on line 32
Please help me on why I am getting this. Keep having to backup 24 hours and use the old theme. Would really like to have the new update. I followed the update instructions and this happens. Love the theme had it for 2 years now. Please help.

Please try to uypdate Visual COmposer plugin at V3.1 which in included in theme’s path: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-use-visual-composer/ clear all caches then test the site again.

I also had a fatal error updating the theme. Already tried visual composer and cleared cache, but it didn’t work:

edit: deactivated some plugins. Now it seems to work!
Well updating the Plugin did not work — got message —Fatal error: Class ‘td_wp_booster_config’ not found in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas03_data01/87/2422587/html/wp-content/plugins/td-api-plugin/td-api-plugin.php on line 61
Now my wordpress is locked up and i can’t even get into the site.. not good!!!
If you can’t get into the site; try via FTP renaming your plugins folder to xplugins; then try logging in. Once able to login, you can delete and replace any plugins from clean copies via FTP; don’t over-write old plugin folders – delete old plugins, replace with current new versions.

Please make sure that you’re using V3.1 of Newsmag theme and also Visual Composer is updated at V 4.12 which is included in theme’s path. Also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then test again.

Okay — Looks like the Visual Composer and Theme have been updated now — so that is great news. Now the problem is the Comment Counter, and Post Date is showing up on home page when I have those buttons set to have them hidden. I also updated social counter and all counts updated correctly but Facebook, I added the API info and it still reads 0. Any ideas why I am see these issues with the new update.Thanks in advance for your help…

Since V 3 we added options to hide post meta on modules so you can remove them from theme panel > blocks settings: http://screencast.com/t/cuzJhkhHF3v
It could be a cache issue so try to clear all caches then test the site again. Also try using a different Facebook id.
