Favicon isn't changed, even after a few months

Hi,
I followed the instruction to change the favicon through theme panel > header > logo & favicon however it isn’t changed until now (I changed it since a few months ago, maybe ~2 months). My website favicon is still having the old favicon.

I followed the size 16x16p through the edit-image option, click update, but it isn’t changed to the new favicon logo. Could you help? Thank you.

Thanks for the advice, I did as per the article you shared, and also cleared the cache on my chrome. Turned out, the favicon is still not changed, the website address is seitimes.com. Should I wait for a few hours until it will be refreshed by the system?

Correct, my current favicon is my old logo, and the new logo is my avatar. Any workaround I should do? I had uploaded the new logo on the theme panel, still no changed.

Hello, just want to update here, my favicon has changed in a different way. After I logged in to my wp-admin page, in the top bar, there’s a “customize” icon >> site identity >> site icon >> change image >> publish.

It’s changed now, thank you @vlad for responding.
