When I add a new post (video or standard), the “Categories” section on the right-hand side does not list “Featured”. Where can this be activated? or how can this be added (with all the functionality it is intended for)?

The featured category was not intended to be shown. It was meant to be hidden from view so people can use it to mark posts as featured but not show the category on the front-end.

Maybe I dont understand. I wish to create a post and have it “Featured”, but the choice doesn’t show when I want to mark a new post as “Featured”. In the “Create a New Post” page I can see the categories I created, or the ones created by the tagDiv team, but not a category “Featured”. If this does exist, then how do I create a specific category like that, that will be specifically highlighted on the home page?

If you do not have the featured category anymore you could have deleted it by mistake. You can simply create a category named: “Featured” and with a slug named “featured” so you can add posts to it to mark them as featured posts.
