Hello, i am having this error when i set a featured video from facebook.
I tried with youtube videos and it works.
Any idea of what may i check?

I tried setting a video from Facebook as featured, seems to work alright on my end. Are you using the latest WordPress and theme versions?
Also check if the wp-debug is set to false in the wp-config file

We have started getting the same error in the last few weeks. It’s only on facebook videos not youtube. We haven’t upgraded our newsmag or wordpress version, and it was working.

@maree If you use an older theme version, try to update and then check if the same happens. Also if you use an older PHP version try to upgrade to 7 or 7.1.

Hi Simion, Thanks that worked for the video posts. We are still having issues with the featured image not being created for facebook videos only, youtube videos are working fine. Any ideas what could be causing that?

Seems there is indeed a problem, I tried setting a featured video from Facebook (tried many videos) but no thumbnail is created. The video is set as featured but no thumbnail.
I will add this issue on our list so the developers can investigate it. Sorry for the inconvenience. A quick solution would be to set a thumbnail manually, so that the modules have something to display for the time being.
