If the post type is video, I still want the featured image to show. How can I do that?

Let me clarify.
If I select the FORMAT as VIDEO (so it will show a play button on the homepage), it does not show the featured image.
I like using the VIDEO format so the play button gets added to the homepage, but I don’t like embedding my video in the top. I want the video to be in the body, with a feature image and the play button show on the front page.
Make sense?

There is a featured image added, because that’s what the play button shows on top of on the home page.

I’ve checked your website and i saw the cause of the problem about your feature image-you are using Facebook link to video: http://screencast.com/t/H52Bu6VNk0Y
In our theme you should use only link from Vimeo or YouTube. It will be embedded in the post and the thumb used as the featured image of this post.
You need to choose Video Format from above to use Featured Video.
We recommend to use only with those post templates: Post style default, Post style 1, Post style 2, Post style 9, Post style 10, Post style 11
