I read in https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ that
“In order to mark a post as featured, all you have to do is include it in the Featured category. To do this, you must go to the backend of your post, and from the All Categories section, check the box that says Featured. This category is created by default. It is also hidden, so no Featured category tag will appear on pages or blocks.
I do not see the Featured Category in the list of Categories”. Do I create it?
Hi,
This is create when you install a demo, but, you can do it, there will be no problems.
Also this is working as in this documentation https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ only for standard demos, for pro demos, you need to use a custom css like this one:
.tdb-category a[href$="/featured/"] , .tdc-content-wrap .td-module-meta-info a[href$="/featured/"], .td_block_wrap .td-module-container a[href$="/featured/"]{
display: none;
}
This code need to be set in theme panel> custom code> custom css.
Hope it will help you!
Thank you!

Hi,
I think that you are referring to this -> https://i.imgur.com/AMJnxJ3.png this is not from that css, I removed it and the problem persists, also the code is affecting only the frontend.
The categories section is blocked by something else, after some time this is open -> https://i.imgur.com/57rxMUN.png
Here is a quick test -> http://www.filedropper.com/21a447d5-b496-43f3-9b31-9b066e3c3b58
The problem seems to be from some plugins.
Thank you!
Hi,
In that File dropper is a short video where you’ll see that the categories from backend are somehow blocked when you are using some extra plugins, you need to find that plugin that create this problem.
And yes, the code that I provided above is affecting only the frontend, I made some test with the code and without that code and these were the same, the only changes were when I disable the extra plugin that you had enable, now I’m not sure, but is possible that one o these plugins after the new theme update to no longer be compatible with our theme.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
When I was login on your website I disable all non theme plugins letting only tagDiv plugins and other two -> https://i.imgur.com/LeY5AjH.png then the categories from post started to work, after I set back all plugin you had, as you can see in my screen record.
If I understand correctly, you made the same steps as me and the category sections was still not working ?
Thank you!
To clarify previous reply.
I went through each plugin and deactivated it and tested the Categories and in each DID NOT WORK. I did not deactivate the WP Supercache.
Categories are not working! Where do we go from here? We need to fix this issue!
P.S. I regret upgrading! I was fine with my previous V. All I wanted was the Black Pro appearance.
Hi,
As I remember if you let only the theme plugins there are some improvements.
Please make a full backup to your website and database and send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login and cPanel. We will take a look to see what we can do to solved the problem. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Than you for your understanding!
