I’ve been using vimeo for a while.
The featured image is no longer downloading from Vimeo.
I’ve followed the documentation and have been doing this correctly for a while.
It stopped this past week.

Have you checked for a plugin conflict? You will have to first start looking for a plugin conflict. please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

I’ve deactivated all plugins except tagdiv plugins and the classic editor plugin.

I tested the featured using youtube. It works on youtube fine. Only on vimeo it does not work.

Unfortunately, I don’t know exactly when it will be solved.
At the moment what you can do is to set manually a featured image for the posts.

Hi – I would like to follow up if a fix is planned for this. I currently have the same issue (I use Vimeo as well as my default video player for posts).
In the interim, I’ve manually uploaded a featured image for the each video post; but it is very time consuming and not ideal. Thank you!

If you want to update the theme I recommend that you update the theme on a staging website and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the look of the website.
